NFL 2020 – Week 12 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

There have been reports that it would be cancelled but the majority of the remaining matches in Week 12 of the NFL season are slated to take place on Sunday and appear as though they will be going ahead despite the strengthening Covid-19 crisis that is hitting the league.

That means that we have the usual two kick off slots and two live matches on TV over here in the UK to enjoy with the regular ways of keeping up to date with all the other games whether that be via RedZone or the games on the bookmaker streams.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The race for the AFC South title is the focus of attention in the opening TV match of the day in the UK when the Indianapolis Colts look to claim complete control of the division when they host the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are 7-3 for the season but if the Colts complete the sweep between the two it will be hard for the Titans to deny them the division title. The other division match in this slot sees the winless and hopeless New York Jets hosting the Miami Dolphins.

Elsewhere the Arizona Cardinals will look to get back to winning ways after their loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week when they head to the New England Patriots while two sides with losing records battle it out as the Minnesota Vikings host the Carolina Panthers. The Cleveland Browns will be looking to continue their charge for a wildcard spot in the AFC when they travel to the Jacksonville Jaguars while the Cincinnati Bengals host the New York Giants. The other two matches sees the Buffalo Bills meeting the Los Angeles Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons welcome the Las Vegas Raiders.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are only three more matches on the slate in the second slot of matches on Sunday and the televised offering is a match that a lot of judges believe will be the Super Bowl come the end of the season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Kansas City Chiefs in what should be a crackerjack of a contest. One of the other two matches nearly didn’t go ahead and it still might not as the Denver Broncos are without a quarterback when they host the New Orleans Saints with one of their quartet having picked up Covid and the others having associated themselves with him. The other match comes from the NFC West where the Los Angeles Rams host the San Francisco 49ers.

Betting

I’ll go with the one bet which comes in that big second slot match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs where the rampant visitors are the call against a Bucs side who have gained plenty of plaudits over the course of the campaign but who are just showing a few signs of struggles in recent times. I hesitate to call Tampa Bay flat track bullies or anything like that but only two of their seven wins this term have come against sides with winning records. All four of their defeats were to teams with winning records at the time.

The Buccaneers offense has begun to struggle a little in recent times and although the Kansas City Chiefs defence doesn’t get as many plaudits as their power offense, for good reason, they have gone pretty well in the main with leading sides such as the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills kept to 20 points. If the Chiefs defence keep the Bucs to a score in the 20s then with the way the Tampa defence are struggling to contain the pass you’ve got to think the reigning champions will have plenty in hand to win with by the end of this one.
