Another week in the NFL continues on Sunday with the usual bunch of games in the early two kick off slots, although here in week five we’ve lost a couple of Sunday matches due to Covid-19 issues and they will be played later in the week.
As always on a Sunday we have one televised match on this side of the pond for each kick off slot while all the big moments can be seen on RedZone. There is also live streaming on some of the bookmaker sites too so there is no need to miss out on the action.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
The champions are the hosts for the TV match in the first kick off slot when the Kansas City Chiefs host their AFC West rivals Las Vegas Raiders in what should be a quality contest. There are three other divisional battles in this kick off slot with the Atlanta Falcons hosting the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South while the Baltimore Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North. The other one comes in the AFC South as the Houston Texans host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The other three matches in this slot should be decent enough in their own right. The Arizona Cardinals look to continue to run hot when they make the trip to take on the New York Jets while the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to keep up their own good form when they host the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington Football Team welcome the Los Angeles Rams in the other match in the early kick offs.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
There are only three matches in the later kick off slot on Sunday night but we do have a TV game among them. That comes from Cleveland where the Cleveland Browns host a very impressive Indianapolis Colts side while elsewhere there is a divisional battle when two NFC East teams collide as the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants. The other match on Sunday sees the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Miami Dolphins who will be looking to take advantage of the long week.
Betting
I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of the night with the first one coming in Pittsburgh where I’m expecting a decent enough sized win for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles. To be fair to the Eagles they come into this match off the back of a good win over the San Francisco 49ers but it was an injury ravaged niners that they beat and even then they weren’t very convincing. The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t have a match last week with the Covid-19 issues that came the way of the Tennessee Titans so they have had a chance to have a bit of a rest and get some work done on the practice field and I expect them to come out even stronger here than they were before, and we’re talking about a side who are 3-0 for the season. I expect the Steelers to win here and cover a 7.5 handicap.
Later in the evening I like the Indianapolis Colts to beat the Cleveland Browns. These are two of the form sides in the league right now with them both coming into the contest off the back of three successive wins. A lot was made of the excitement factor in the Browns after the piled the points up against the Dallas Cowboys but they are not the only team to have done that this season. More of a concern to me was how many points they conceded and if the old adage of defences win matches and championships then the Colts are going to like their chances in this match. There is a good case to be made that the Colts have the best defence in football at the minute and with Philip Rivers getting better with this offense all the time the AFC South outfit are only going to get stronger from here on in if they avoid further injuries. That strengthening can come with a win here.
