NFL 2020 – Week 6 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

The NFL season continues on Sunday when week six of the campaign begins with the two early slots of games. Usually we are reflecting on a Thursday night game but these are unusual times and there wasn’t one so the action begins with 11 scheduled games to start Sunday.

As always we have a couple of televised matches over here in the UK while there are regular updates on RedZone. The other matches are available on Game Pass or with certain bookmakers so there is no need to miss a single play.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The televised match in this first slot of games comes from Heinz Field where two AFC North sides battle it out as the Pittsburgh Steelers go up against the Cleveland Browns in a game which could have a big say in the destiny of the division title. There are two other divisional battles in this set of games with the Tennessee Titans looking to continue their unbeaten record in the AFC South as they host the Houston Texans while over in the NFC East the New York Giants take on the Washington Football Team.

Elsewhere there are some matches which catch the eye with one of them being the one at Gillette Stadium where the New England Patriots host the Denver Broncos. Philadelphia Eagles take on the Baltimore Ravens in another good game while the Atlanta Falcons’ new era starts with a trip to the Minnesota Vikings. The other matches sees Carolina Panthers taking on the Chicago Bears, the Indianapolis Colts facing the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Detroit Lions.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

With the cancellations and changes in schedule as well as teams on bye weeks there are only two matches in the later slot on Sunday. The TV offering looked like a really tasty clash as two of the best players in the history of the quarterback position meet when Aaron Rodgers takes his Green Bay Packers team to Florida to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady. The other match in this section might not be as high profile but it is a divisional game as the Miami Dolphins host the New York Jets in the AFC East.

Betting

I’ll take a couple of overs in the points over the course of Sunday with the first of them coming in the opening TV match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have been showing great signs offensively in recent times and the way they piled on the pressure on a good Indianapolis defence last week makes me think that they can take on this Pittsburgh defence as well. There is a concern that Pittsburgh’s schedule has been quite kind and their defence hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders in that time. The balance of both offenses should see plenty of points scored here and I like over 50.5 in this one.

Later in the night I expect the over 54.5 points to land in the match between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay have been piling up the points this season with Aaron Rodgers playing close to his very best. He gets main weapon Davante Adams back here too so their offense is likely to be even more potent in this match. Tampa Bay are beginning to warm up nicely in the offense stakes with Brady learning his new team more and more by the game. This has a shootout written all over it and I expect there to be quite a few points in this tasty clash.
