NFL 2021 – Week 2 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

The majority of the matches in Week 2 of the NFL 2021 season takes place on Sunday where 13 of them come in the two early kick offs on a week which offers up plenty more exciting action and early campaign storylines.

As always on a Sunday we have a couple of live matches to enjoy in full on TV in the UK while the scoring action in all the matches will be available on the Red Zone programme. Certain matches are also available with selected bookmakers.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The televised action for us in the UK comes in what looks like being a tasty clash between two sides who won last week when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Sam Francisco 49ers. There are eight other matches in the early slate of games with three of those coming in divisional battles. In the NFC South the Carolina Panthers host the New Orleans Saints while the AFC East meet each other when the Miami Dolphins welcome to Buffalo Bills to the Hard Rock Stadium and New York Jets host the New England Patriots at the MetLife Stadium.

The other five matches all offer up competitive matches and sides who can lay down their standards for the season. The Chicago Bears play their first home game when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals while the Cleveland Browns go up against a Houston Texans who picked up a first week win. The pick of the matches might be the one which sees the Indianapolis Colts hosting the Los Angeles Rams. Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Denver Broncos while in the other game the Pittsburgh Steelers meet the Las Vegas Raiders.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

The live game for us to enjoy in the second set of matches on Sunday sees the Dallas Cowboys back on show when they head to the SoFi Stafium, host of Super Bowl LVI, to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Of the other four matches we have one of them which is a divisional clash which comes from the NFC South where the Atlanta Falcons will look to be the first time to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a long while.

The other two matches are both hosted by teams in the NFC West, arguably the best division in football right now. The earlier one of those sees the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Minnesota Vikings with the Cards looking to go 2-0 and the Vikings looking to avoid going 0-2 for the season. The same situation applies in the other game when Seattle Seahawks look to build on their opening week win when they host the Tennessee Titans.

Betting

I’m not going to go too mad in these matches. I’m still weighing up the pros and cons of each team and another great bet comes along in the Sunday Night Football which we’ll preview shortly. There is one bet that jumps off the page at me here though and it comes in the desert where I expect the Arizona Cardinals to walk all over the Minnesota Vikings in what I am expecting to be a very comfortable home win.

The Cards defence laid down a marker last week when JJ Watt and the five-sack hero Chandler Jones wreaked havoc on the Tennessee Titans and they are not likely to slow down here. The Vikings were very ordinary in a tame loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week and while we should recognise the improvement that should be in them, to expect them to find enough of it to contain this Arizona offense would be asking too much. Even if they are able to shackle that offense it is looking like it will be hard to stop it completely and they still need to move the ball against a confident defence. It all points to an easy Arizona win to me.

Tips

Back Arizona Cardinals (-3.5) to beat Minnesota Vikings for a 3/10 stake at 1.91 with William Hill
