NFL 2021 – Week 3 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

As ever the majority of the matches in a NFL week take place on Sunday and in among the early games in Week 3 we have some really good looking clashes to keep us occupied right through the evening and into the early hours.

As with all of the NFL Sundays we have a couple of matches to enjoy on the TV over here in the UK while the Red Zone coverage keeps us up to date with what is happening in all the others. If you have a bet in the other games you can watch it in full with certain bookmakers.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The TV game in the early slot comes from the AFC West which is pretty rare. That sees the divisional rivals Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Los Angeles Chargers, both of whom have started the season with a win and a defeat. Eight other matches kick off in this time slot with two of them coming in divisional battles with the Tennessee Titans taking on the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South, whole in the AFC North the Pittsburgh Steelers face off against the Cincinnati Bengals.

That leaves six other games with the Arizona Cardinals looking to extend their perfect start to the season when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rest of the teams in action are either 1-1 or 0-2 beginning with the Buffalo Bills hosting the Washington Football Team, Cleveland Browns taking on the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions meeting the Baltimore Ravens. The other matches see the New England Patriots taking on the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants hosting the Atlanta Falcons.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

Just four matches take place in the later kick off slot with one of them potentially being a dress rehearsal for the NFC Championship game later in the season. That is the match which will be live for us in the UK to enjoy as the Los Angeles Rams welcome the champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the SoFi Stadium. Both sides have opened up the season with a pair of wins so we have two undefeated records going up against each other here.

There are three other matches in the later time spot and a couple of them could turn into competitive affairs. The one which probably won’t is the one between the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets with the Broncos a double digit favourite. The other two matches sees the Las Vegas Raiders taking on the Miami Dolphins and the Minnesota Vikings welcoming the Seattle Seahawks to Minneapolis.

Betting

I’m still forming opinions on a lot of these teams and much like last week I think the better bets come in the primetime matches but there is one that I like over the course of the evening which comes in the match in Nevada where the Las Vegas Raiders take on a Miami Dolphins who have a few issues, not just in the fact that they head west off the back of a 35-0 beating at the hands of the Buffalo Bills last weekend.

They also have issues in the quarterback position, although actually I think Jacoby Brissett is the better option at this level, but his issue is going to be his offensive line which couldn’t protect against a paper bag right now and rest assured the Raiders will go hunting in this one. There are concerns over Derek Carr’s fitness but he’s still been good enough to beat the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers this season. While you can point to injuries in those sides they are solid results, especially the win at Heinz Field which is never an easy place to go. With Carr having enough options to move Las Vegas down the field and the Raiders pass rush negating the passing game of the Dolphins I’m expecting a relatively comfortable home win here.
