We have another very exciting Sunday of NFL action to look forward to this week and as the UK prepares for the first of the London games next week we get there with the bulk of the week four matches taking place across America.
As ever on a Sunday those of us who enjoy our NFL fix from the UK can watch two matches in full on the TV and then there is the excellent Red Zone coverage as well. The majority of the matches can also be viewed with certain bookmakers.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
The televised action for us all to enjoy in the first slot of games sees the Minnesota Vikings looking to continue their stuttering start to the season when they go up against the 2-1 Cleveland Browns who have a chance to lay a bit of a marker down here. Eight other matches all kick off in this time slot but only one of them is a divisional clash. That comes in the form of the NFC North match which sees the Chicago Bears going up against the Detroit Lions.
The highlights of the other matches sees the Kansas City Chiefs looking to restore their equilibrium for the season when they head to the Philadelphia Eagles while two undefeated teams meet in Texas where the Dallas Cowboys take on the Carolina Panthers. Elsewhere, the Atlanta Falcons take on the Washington Football Team while the Buffalo Bills will look to dominate the Houston Texans. The Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts meet with the chance to rebuild their campaigns while New Orleans Saints return home for the first time this term when they take on the New York Giants. The other game sees the New York Jets hosting the Tennessee Titans.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
Four more matches will take place in the later of the two kick off slots with the televised game coming from the NFC West where the two undefeated sides meet as the Los Angeles Rams host the Arizona Cardinals in what has the potential to be a cracking match. Of the other three matches there is one which is a divisional contest. That sees the other two sides in the NFC West battling it out where the San Francisco 49ers welcome the Seattle Seahawks to Levis Stadium.
The other two matches both see teams who will have their eyes on very successful seasons doing battle. Two veteran quarterbacks of the league meet at Lambeau Field where Aaron Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger. The other match sees the Baltimore Ravens looking to build on two dramatic wins in the last two weeks when they make the trip to take on a potentially underrated Denver Broncos side.
Betting
I like two bets over the course of the evening with the first of them coming in the shape of the Dallas Cowboys who I expect to cover 3.5 points against the Carolina Panthers. Dallas look like a really good side and their offense is as balanced and as strong looking as anything in the league. That will be a positive when they take on a Carolina Panthers defence who has looked very strong so far, although they have had to make a significant change in their secondary which might take a few plays to sort itself out which isn’t ideal. The bigger issue for the Panthers though is that their offense looked a little flat once Christian McCaffrey went out of the picture last week. He is out for this match and against a Dallas defence which is beginning to play some football that could really hamper Carolina. There aren’t many sides who are going to restrict this Cowboys offense this season so I fancy Dallas to cover 3.5pts here.
The other bet I like is for the Green Bay Packers to cover a 5.5 point spread against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers look to be warming to the task nicely at present and Aaron Rodgers can feast on his matchups against the bashed up secondary of the Steelers. While Pittsburgh might have a couple of defensive linemen back for this one they are going to need to make a huge improvement to avoid Rodgers picking them off. Even if they are able to do that they still have a number of issues on offense that need addressing. Roethlisberger continues to look a very old man and he can no longer force the plays that Rodgers can. That might be the difference in a match I expect Green Bay to dominate, especially if T.J. Watt isn’t 100% on his return.
