NFL 2021 – Week 6 Sunday Early Games Tips and Betting Preview

Once the action concludes in London, the remainder of the matches in the NFL Sunday take place, including a bunch of them in the usual two kick off slots on a day where the contenders for the latter stages of the season may continue to emerge.

As always on a Sunday we have a double header of televised action to enjoy in the UK and those wanting to follow the other matches can do so via the Red Zone programme. A number of the matches are also available to watch with certain bookmakers.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

There are seven matches in the earlier of the two kick off slots on Sunday evening and the first of them sees two sides from the AFC who have made very good starts to the season meeting when the Baltimore Ravens welcome the Los Angeles Chargers in a clash between two teams who are 4-1 for their campaign. Of the other six matches two come from the same division as the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North, while there is also an AFC South clash between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans.

That leaves us with four matches from elsewhere with the Los Angeles Rams one of the sides on show. They head to the Big Apple to take on a New York Giants side who are ravaged by injuries. The Kansas City Chiefs are also on show in this slot of matches. They look to bounce back from their Sunday Night Football mauling last week when they take on the Washington Football Team. The other two matches see the Carolina Panthers taking on the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions going up against the Cincinnati Bengals.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

With all the matches going on at various times there are only three matches in the later of the two kick off slots on Sunday. There is a crackerjack of a game on the TV for us to enjoy in the UK when the undefeated Arizona Cardinals take their perfect record on the road with them. They go up against the 3-2 Cleveland Browns in a match the home side have a chance to really announce themselves as potential title challengers.

That means there are just the two other matches on the card. One of those comes in the same division where there is an AFC West battle between the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders, with the latter looking to put a truly terrible week behind them when they begin life without Jon Gruden. The other match sees the New England Patriots playing host to the Dallas Cowboys in what is also a tasty showdown between two well supported sides in the UK.

Betting

I’ll go with one bet in addition to the one we’ve picked out in the London game. That comes relatively late in the piece where I like the Dallas Cowboys to cover a field goal in their match away to the New England Patriots. The Patriots have been a little difficult to judge this season. They have been a bit hit and miss but at the same time I have a strong feeling that the shackles have been kept on and at some point you would imagine they will get released.

Whether that is or isn’t here I still don’t think that will be enough to beat the Cowboys. Dallas’ offense is spoken about plenty, and rightly so, but their defence is getting love too and why shouldn’t it with Micah Parsons rushing the quarterback and messing with the opposing run game and Trevon Diggs catching passes as if he is a wide receiver the secondary is in good nick too. New England always look to shut down the strength of the opposition offense but if they shut the pass down they face the prospect of Ezekiel Elliott running riot and if he gets stopped Dak Prescott can pick this defence apart through the air. I just think the Dallas Cowboys will be too good in all departments and can cover a field goal.
