The majority of the Week 12 matches in the NFL 2024 season come along in the usual two Sunday kick off slots on a day where we close in on the end of the second third of the regular campaign and attentions begin to turn towards the postseason.
As always on any NFL Sunday we have a couple of matches on TV for us in the UK to enjoy and then there is the Red Zone coverage which will have all of the scoring plays on it. Bookmakers offer live streaming on the games not on TV.
1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)
The opening slate of games has seven matches on the schedule and on the TV for us in the UK to enjoy is the one between the Indianapolis Colts and the best team in the NFC right now in Detroit Lions. Of the other six games, four of them are divisional battles with the biggest of them probably being the one in the NFC North where the Chicago Bears host a Minnesota Vikings side who need to keep winning to keep in the hunt for the division title.
Two of the rivals of the Colts in the AFC South meet when the Houston Texans host the Tennessee Titans while in the AFC East we have the Miami Dolphins going up against the New England Patriots. The other divisional clash sees the Washington Commanders meeting the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. That all leaves us with two other matches where the Carolina Panthers host a Kansas City Chiefs side looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season and the New York Giants take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)
Just the three matches take place in the later of the two kick off slots on Sunday and the TV game is a very intriguing one and a potentially season defining one for the two sides involved. Green Bay Packers are 7-3 for their year going into the weekend but despite that they are only third in the NFC North and really need to keep winning else they are going to be going on the road in the playoffs should they get there. San Francisco 49ers are 5-5 for their campaign and they will need to start winning just to extend their season in any way let alone have thoughts of winning the division.
Were the 49ers to win the match at Lambeau Field then they will immediately head into the locker room and look at the score in one of the other two matches which sees two of their divisional rivals in the NFC West meeting when the Seattle Seahawks host the current leaders of the division in Arizona Cardinals. The other match is also a divisional clash where the Las Vegas Raiders host the Denver Broncos in the AFC West.
Betting
I like one bet on Sunday and that comes in the form of the Seattle Seahawks to give their hopes of winning the NFC West title a massive boost when they host the Arizona Cardinals at Lumen Field. The Cardinals currently head the way in the division but that won’t be the case were they to lose this match so this is a huge game for the campaign. Cardinals are a much better side this season but I’m still not sure they are a level ball to go on the road and win in Seattle.
Seattle Seahawks probably are a work in progress but they are an improving one and will be buoyed by their win in San Francisco last weekend. The big issue that the Cardinals have had this season has been their secondary has been exposed and this Seattle side are more than capable of taking full advantage of that. On a cold and potentially wet night in Seattle, the Arizona offense might be impacted and with the Seahawks’ defence getting much stronger with the return of players from injury, I think the home side win this one.
