NFL 2025 – Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers Tips and Betting Preview

The final match of the NFL 2025 regular season will be played out in the Sunday Night Football on Week 18 and everything is on the line when the Pittsburgh Steelers host their bitter rivals Baltimore Ravens in a do or die clash.

The equation for this one is a simple one. The winners will be the champions of the AFC North division and will take the final place in the playoffs. The losers will see their season end so knockout football begins a week early here.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been in control of the AFC North title for the past month or so but they haven’t shaken the Baltimore Ravens off and now they have to win one last home game to ensure that they claim the title and take their place in the postseason. Win and they will host the number five seed next week but a defeat and it is all over for their maiden season with Aaron Rodgers under quarter so this really is as big as it gets for the Steelers.

The Steelers left the door open for the Ravens when they went to Cleveland last week and lost. Their offensive effort in that game was really poor even allowing for the good defence that they were up against and they will require much more in this one if they are going to extend their season. The Steelers have been without some key players in the last week or two and while they will continue to miss DK Metcalf here, they will have T.J. Watt back which feels like it could be significant.

Baltimore Ravens

When the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on home soil four weeks ago it looked like their quest to win the AFC North title had come to an end. To be fair to the Ravens, they didn’t give up and kept on playing out the season and made sure that they were around should the Steelers have left the door open and they have got their reward for that. Nobody is suggesting it will be easy to win at their arch rivals but had you offered this opportunity to them when time ran out four weeks ago they would certainly have taken it.

The Ravens have ridden a horrendous injury list this season, including in a must-win match against the Green Bay Packers last week, but it looks like they are going to have Lamar Jackson back for this winner-takes-all clash and that is just about the biggest boost they could have received. To be fair, their offense has put up 24 points or more in the three matches since that loss to the Steelers so their fate might lie in the hands of their defence and whether they can stop the Aaron Rodgers tide.

Betting

We are in for a cracking contest to round off the regular season here. Two teams who absolutely can’t stand each other battling it out for all of the marbles and this should be one that is well worth staying up for and not taking your eye off. The Ravens are the favourites for this one and I’m only ok with that because of the suspension for DK Metcalf. That feels like a massive factor here when you consider that he caught seven passes for 148 yards in the reverse meeting of the two, accounting for over half the receiving yards on the day.

It is the other man who stood out in the reverse meeting which catches my eye here. I would be amazed if Mike Tomlin doesn’t stack the box and say to the Baltimore Ravens that if you are beating us you are not going to use Derrick Henry to do it and that could open the field up for Zay Flowers to have another day out. The Ravens wide receiver caught eight passes for 124 yards in the reverse meeting and with the Steelers struggling to deal with receivers at the minute there is plenty of reason to think Flowers can get to his 61.5 receiving yards line. He has covered this in 11 of the 16 matches he has played and Jackson often looks in his direction so there is nothing to suggest we shouldn’t be on the over here.
