NFL 2025 – Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens Tips and Betting Preview

The NFL Thanksgiving Day triple header concludes with a battle in the AFC North as the NFL 2025 season continues for the Baltimore Ravens when they play host to the Cincinnati Bengals in another massively important match.

The Baltimore Ravens were one of the favourites to win the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season but have got involved in a real battle to win the AFC North. Cincinnati are looking to play the role of the spoiler here.

Baltimore Ravens

It had looked like the Baltimore Ravens had completely fluffed their lines when they opened up their season with just one win in their first six matches. They could have been forgiven for throwing the season in at that point but to their credit they have won their last five outings and that has sent them to the top of the AFC North. They still haven’t shaken off the Pittsburgh Steelers and still need to face their bitterest rivals twice between now and the end of the season but a win here will put some pressure on Pittsburgh over the weekend.

Injuries certainly haven’t been the friend of the Baltimore side but Lamar Jackson is expected to play in this match which will definitely be a bonus for them. You wouldn’t say that the Ravens have completely shone on offense in recent weeks but their defence has delivered the goods and really allowed Baltimore to gain some momentum. It will be interesting to see if home field advantage on a short week allows that offense to thrive more here.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals would have gone into the season with high hopes of not just being competitive this term but actually launching a challenge to be involved in January and even February football. Those hopes went west pretty early on when they lost quarterback Joe Burrow to injury and a 3-8 record isn’t going to get them anywhere now so the last six games are about spoiling parties and looking to find something ahead of the new campaign.

Burrow does return for this one so that tells us that the Bengals haven’t thrown the towel in for the season and if the quarterback and perform to his usual capabilities then he is entitled to get this offense putting up big numbers. That will be a bit more of a struggle with Tee Higgins out with concussion but Burrow is expected to have elite receiver Ja’Marr Chase available. Should they put up numbers it will be over to the defence to get the job done for the Bengals.

Betting

You would expect the Baltimore Ravens to win this match and it probably wouldn’t be a surprise were they to win it well but I’ve no interest in backing them to cover more than a touchdown when winning is the primary aim at this time of the season, especially in these Thursday night matches. Cincinnati have the potential to be more competitive with Joe Burrow back in the side and his inclusion could lead to back door covers so I’m not interested in the match betting.

There is no need to be though because with the point line for this one only at 51.5 we can take the over with a fair bit of confidence. Both meetings between the two last season covered this total as is the second one in 2023 which was on this ground. The Cincinnati defence is averaging 32.7 points per game conceded and this Baltimore offense can jump all over that but the Bengals should put up points of their own with Burrow returning. Cincinnati have nothing to lose here so this could quickly turn into a shootout so I like the over.
