Week 11 of the NFL 2025 season concludes in the desert when the Monday Night Football takes us to Allegiant Stadium for the clash between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys in a game which probably looked more important at the start of the campaign than it actually is.
With both teams having strong outfits in their division and both currently having poor records for the season, they are probably both having an eye on next year now but someone will win here and boost themselves heading into the final third of the campaign.
Las Vegas Raiders
This was meant to be a much improved season for the Las Vegas Raiders under the new coach and quarterback combo of Pete Carroll and Geno Smith but it hasn’t really got going and with the Denver Broncos going so well in their division, the Raiders will already be eyeing up where and how they can improve ahead of next year where they will be expected to come out much stronger. They do still have a duty to their own fans to perform well at home though, especially on primetime.
If there is a positive for Pete Carroll when he sits as head coach of a team who are 2-7 for the season then it will be that he doesn’t need to delve too deep into where they need to improve moving forward. They are struggling offensively, especially when they find it hard to get Ashton Jeanty running loose. The offensive line isn’t pulling up trees so he is basically having to open up lanes for himself and that isn’t a recipe for success. That has a knock on effect on the defence too.

Dallas Cowboys
This season felt like one that might have been a write-off from the moment that Micah Parsons was traded away to the Green Bay Packers in the run up to the beginning of the campaign. They have won just three of their nine matches with a tie against the aforementioned Packers and with the Philadelphia Eagles looking as good as they are in the NFC East there is no chance of the Cowboys winning the division and they are going to need to sprout wings for a wildcard spot, so even in November it is all about next term for Dallas.
This will be an emotional night for the Dallas Cowboys as it is the first match they have played since the tragic death of their defensive end Marshawn Kneeland who died during their bye week from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. It will be interesting to see if those he has left behind will be motivated to win for him or whether losing a friend and teammate will hit hard and they find it hard to play in his absence. If it is the former than expect Dallas to come out full of intent and aggression.
Betting
With the Dallas Cowboys motivated by the loss of their teammate and them strengthening their defence prior to the trade deadline during their bye week, I do think the visitors will run out winners here but the point spread being 3.5 is enough to sway me from getting involved in this one, at least in terms of the match betting anyway. There is a bet I like in this match and it comes in the from of a player prop bet which brings the Dallas win into play.
That is the rushing yards of Javonte Williams, the Dallas running back who is having a decent season. He has a rushing yards line here of 75.5 which he has covered in six of his last eight matches and when you think the two he didn’t cover against were a crack hot Denver defence and a weird performance against Carolina. Las Vegas rate as a good rush defence but they have given up a number of rushing yards in their last few matches and if the Dallas defence improves enough to keep the Raiders defence on the field, and the Cowboys get in front, I expect Williams to get the carries he needs to reach 76 yards.
