Pakistan vs Sri Lanka – 3rd T20 Betting Preview

Sri Lanka finish their tour of Pakistan with the first match of it actually in Pakistan on Sunday when the two nations play a third and final T20. Having begun the tour in the UAE, Sri Lanka will end it in Lahore on what is another big day for Pakistan cricket.

Sri Lanka will be desperate to end on a high even though they have already lost the series. They are on a wretched losing run in limited overs cricket which they will want to snap. Pakistan might have won the series but this is the match they will have been waiting for.

Pakistan

It is plainly obvious that Pakistan will need no motivating in this match. The chance to play cricket in their home country is something that they cherish and it is good to see Pakistan hosting cricket once again. They have been completely dominant in white ball cricket in the UAE leg of the battle and they will be eager to repeat that here.

Pakistan’s bowling has been of a different class ever since the white balls came out of the box. When you think the likes of Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz haven’t bowled a ball their bowling depths are something else. We saw Pakistan have to dig in and fight with the bat in the previous match and they will feel good about having done so successfully.

Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankans can’t be feeling too good about their game right now. Even when they play well enough to get into a winning position like they did in the previous game they are unable to finish the job and generally when teams have forgotten how to win in big moments you know there is an underlying issue.

Credit must be due to them for putting up such a showing in the second game on Friday. Not only did the match come less than 24hrs after they took a decent beating but they must be extremely low in confidence right now. If they can show the same fight and heart here they will be on the right track even if they don’t get over the line.

Team News

Pakistan will have a full squad itching to start in this match. I dare say that usually they would rotate their team with the series won but everyone will want to play here so they might stay unchanged for continuity.

Sri Lanka might decide to go in unchanged too after probably their best performance of either limited overs series in the last match. Lahiru Gamage might finally get his T20 chance.

Betting

I think it is going to be hard for Sri Lanka to beat Pakistan in this match. The motivation of the home side will just be too high and ultimately I think that will get them over the line here whether by comfort or narrowly.

The best bet in the match could be for nine or more sixes. I say that because this line looks to have been priced up on the UAE wickets rather than this one in Lahore which is always good for batting and the ground is not the biggest either.

While I accept that Sri Lanka are not batting all that well I fancy they’ll have a bit of a go with nothing on the line here while Pakistan will be out to entertain their people. This hasn’t been a series for big hitting and high scoring but I fancy that could change here.
