The Premier League weekend continues on Sunday with a double header of action which revolves around the two Manchester clubs as they look to continue their fine season against sides in the bottom half of the table.
This is a big week in the title race and the story could get even more interesting over the course of Sunday after Arsenal left the door ajar again on Saturday. That forms the backdrop for the two matches which are both on TV.
Leeds United vs Manchester United (14.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
The opening match of the afternoon is the reverse meeting of a clash which took place as recently as Wednesday evening when Leeds United face up against Manchester United for the second time in a few days.
The two teams drew 2-2 at Old Trafford on Wednesday and it will be interesting to see how they both get on when they renew acquaintances here. Leeds probably carried little or no expectation into the clash on Wednesday with them with it being a couple of days after Jesse Marsch was dismissed but that result might have created a little more even though the permanent replacement for the American hasn’t been appointed yet. Manchester United will be disappointed not to beat Leeds in midweek but they get another chance to do it here. Only they will know how important the absence of Casemiro was to the outcome but you’ve got to think that goals are going to come along here. Leeds just can’t keep the ball out of their net but they have enough about them going forward when there is a structure to them and a passionate home crowd should ensure they keep on driving forward. Goals generally come when these two meet and with the away side motivated to win to make up for midweek I expect the over 3 line to be covered.

Manchester City vs Aston Villa (16.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
The last time Manchester City and Aston Villa met at the Etihad Stadium was on the final day of last season when City came from 2-0 down to win the Premier League title. They won’t win the league when they meet on Sunday but they could make themselves favourites to do it again with a win.
City have actually dropped points in three of their last six matches and are under pressure not to drop any more here in order to close the gap on the leaders Arsenal. Villa will be out to get something from this match themselves to make up for their defeat to Leicester City last week. This fixture has a history of both teams finding the back of the net and I’m a little surprised that you can get even money on that happening here. Six of the last seven matches between these two have seen both teams scoring while City have conceded in seven of their last nine outings in the Premier League. The opposition have scored in seven of the last nine Villa games too and with the level of talent on the pitch here I see both teams scoring before the whistle blows in this one.
