Premier League 2022-23 – Sunday 4th September Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

The Premier League weekend concludes with the usual double header of action on Sunday on a day where one of the biggest historical fixtures in the competition takes place after two good teams to watch do battle.

Both matches are live on TV for us in the UK to enjoy on an afternoon where we might just get a feeling about what could happen in the race behind Manchester City over the course of the campaign.

Brighton and Hove Albion vs Leicester City (14.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

The opening match of the afternoon sees two teams having very different seasons meeting when Brighton and Hove Albion host bottom of the table Leicester City at the Amex Stadium on a day which feels important for the visiting side.

Both teams actually go into the game off the back of midweek defeats but Leicester were particularly poor against Manchester United and haven’t won a game this season. That needs to change soon else you would imagine there will be repercussions for those involved. Brighton, despite their loss at Fulham in midweek, have made an excellent start to the season and sit nicely on 10 points after five matches. Brighton have a decent home record but I always think the draw is too much in play to rely on them. I also can’t believe Leicester aren’t going to come good at some point and they were so poor on Thursday night that the improvement might come here. I’d rather sit and watch than trust these two sides to deliver the goods.

Manchester United vs Arsenal (16.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

The second match of the afternoon looks the better of the two as old rivals Manchester United and Arsenal meet each other once again when the two sides face off in a key encounter for both sides at Old Trafford.

After a dismal start to the campaign Manchester United have started to come good and incredibly despite all the doom and gloom they could finish the day in the top four with a win here. United’s start is nothing compared to the one Arsenal have made though. They have played five matches and won the lot although if you want to you could easily pick holes in that beginning to the campaign. The highest placed team the Gunners have faced are Fulham who are currently in tenth but I don’t think many expect them to stay there. On the flip side of that United have already got the better of Liverpool and their two defeats came against Brighton and Brentford who both sit in the top seven when this kicks off. This will be a good test of where Arsenal are this season but there is a chance they are going to be without Martin Odegaard which is a real concern. I’m not as convinced Arsenal are the real deal as some are and at the same time I’m not convinced United are as bad as everyone is making out. With Antony and Casemiro potentially debuting here I think the draw no bet lines on the home side are worth exploring.
