The Premier League weekend concludes at Selhurst Park with the Monday Night Football which carries plenty of importance on it for the visitors when Nottingham Forest make the trip to the capital to take on Crystal Palace.
Forest are firmly in the battle for Champions League football next season and need to win to keep their hopes in their own hands. Palace have a Wembley date to look forward to and will be looking to keep their momentum ahead of it.
Where to watch
The match will be shown live and in full in the Monday Night Football programme on the Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels. The show begins at 6.30pm ahead of the 8pm kick off.
Crystal Palace
After a really slow start to the season for Crystal Palace, they have turned things around brilliantly to sit in the middle of the table with no worries about being relegated or anything like that. When they were in this situation last term, they finished the campaign with a flourish and this time with an FA Cup final looming on the horizon they will be out to repeat that feat and go to Wembley with their confidence as high as it could be.
Palace go into the match without a win in four in the Premier League but to be fair to them road trips to Man City, Newcastle and Arsenal in that time were never likely to yield too much in terms of points, particularly when they had a huge FA Cup semi-final in their sights. The Eagles have won three and drawn the other of their last four home matches though so they can certainly take confidence from their record at Selhurst Park into this one.
Nottingham Forest
Given the relegation battles of their first two seasons in the Premier League whatever happens from here on in this has been a very positive campaign for Nottingham Forest. It would take quite a collapse from here for them not to be playing European football of some kind next term whether it is Champions League or not and I suspect there won’t have been a Forest fan anywhere who wouldn’t have signed up to that before a ball was kicked.
Forest are just showing signs of the season beginning to catch up with them. There is no shame in that. They have reached the semi-final of the FA Cup so have played a lot of matches and three defeats in their last four in the Premier League is probably understandable as a result. Forest had to play on Thursday evening where they really did look a yard off the pace and that would have to be a concern here while four defeats in their last six away games is a worry too.

Team News
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has declared that his side have no new injury problems for this match so the only man he will be without is on-loan keeper Matt Turner who is unable to play against his parent club.
Nuno Espirito Santo has a doubt over Callum Hudson-Odoi for this contest after the attack left the field with a hamstring issue on Thursday night. The Forest boss hinted that he might need to freshen his side up for this encounter.
Betting
There is a case to be made that all of the Crystal Palace attention will be on the FA Cup semi-final and maybe next week that will be the case but in front of their own fans this far out from the Wembley showpiece I would be surprised if they aren’t up for the battle here. They are fresh, unlike their opponents who are backing up a Thursday night game and are in fine form at home and if there is a winner of this game I think it will be them.
Nottingham Forest are looking a tired side to me at the minute and their form away from home is a particular concern. Forest have only scored nine goals in their last eight games in the Premier League and nine in 10 in all competitions so the goals have dried up, as have the clean sheets with none of them in their last five outings. To my eye Palace just look in better shape at this stage of the season and with some serious class and quality in the areas that count I fancy them to win this but I’ll accept the draw cover on offer given that matches between these two are generally low scoring and tight.
