The Premier League season draws to a close on Sunday when the final round of matches are played out at the same time with the focus for the day very much being on which three teams will take the final spots in the Champions League next term.
Three of the 10 matches on Sunday are live on the TV for us in the UK to enjoy but you’ll need multiple devices to watch all of them as they kick off at the same time. Hopefully the TV coverage provide regular updates on the other games.

Big Matches
There are four matches which carry importance on Sunday and the big one is at the City Ground where Nottingham Forest and Chelsea both go in search of a Champions League spot. The loser is out of contention for that place while the winners will need a result to go their way elsewhere to guarantee their spot. Aston Villa are the other team on the outside looking in. They head to Old Trafford to take on a wounded Manchester United knowing that if they win and Chelsea don’t win they will be back in the Champions League next term. The two teams in control of their own destiny are Manchester City and Newcastle United. They head to Fulham and host Everton respectively knowing that if they win they are in.
Best of the Rest
There is still a chance that eighth place could get into the Europa Conference League next season. Brighton and Hove Albion are controlling their destiny. A point for them away to Tottenham Hotspur will see them finish eighth and then they will wait and see if it is enough. Liverpool will receive the Premier League trophy after their home match against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace while it is a goodbye to the Premier League for Southampton, who host runners-up Arsenal, Ipswich Town who welcome West Ham United to Portman Road and for Leicester City who conclude their campaign at the Vitality Stadium when they face AFC Bournemouth.
Betting
It is all about goals for me on the final day with three matches in particular catching my eye. They are all matches where the teams have little to play for with the exception of Brighton and Hove Albion but even they might not be playing for anything by the time this day reaches a conclusion. Their match at Tottenham Hotspur, the Liverpool vs Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brentford games are the three which catch my eye.
The first two have a 3.5 goal line. Liverpool will want to put on a show but Palace have shown at Arsenal and City in the last month or so that they can trouble any defence. There’s no Marc Guehi either for Palace which helps. Tottenham could be anything with the celebrations they have been enjoying but they’ll be dangerous going forward but Brighton could well fill their boots in that one and the Wolves vs Brentford game has a 3.25 goal line which immediately looks low when you consider the reverse meeting ended 5-3. Wolves have packed in for the season but will want to send their home fans home happy and it might be a goodbye to Brentford for Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbuemo so goals should flow there.
