The latest round of action in the Premier League season begins on Saturday afternoon when just over half of the division are on show on a day where we see the top seven taking to the pitch looking for three valuable points.
There is no early game on Saturday so we are left with just the one TV game in the UK to enjoy and that comes after the other matches in the regular slot. They will have updates in all of the usual places throughout the afternoon.
3pm Matches
The leaders Liverpool are in rare Saturday 3pm action. They will be looking to at least preserve their six point lead at the top of the table when they host Ipswich Town, who could finish the day outside the bottom three if they avoid defeat. The two other sides involved in that equation are Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal and they meet in the other big match of the first part of the afternoon at Molineux. A Wolves win ensures they stay out of the bottom three for another week whereas an Arsenal win ensures that Liverpool can’t extend their lead at the top of the table.
Nottingham Forest sit in third in the table at the start of the day and they will be hoping for a slip up from Liverpool. If they get it they could move to within three points of the leaders if they can go to the Vitality Stadium and win against Bournemouth, who themselves can move into the top five for a few hours at least if they win. Newcastle United will move into the top four for a few hours if they can come out on top when they head to rock bottom Southampton. The other match sees Brighton and Hove Albion welcoming Everton to the Amex Stadium.

Late Game
We probably save the best for last on Saturday as the evening match takes us to the Etihad Stadium where the champions Manchester City will look to put that midweek meltdown in Paris behind them when they play host to a Chelsea side who will be more than grateful to take advantage of any chances they are given in this match. The winners of this one will end the day in the top four and with the ability to push on in their quest for Champions League football. The losers will need to bounce back and find some consistency so there is plenty on the line in the late game.
Betting
There is one match that I like a bet in on Saturday and it takes us to Molineux where I can’t help but load up on Gabriel Magalhaes when Arsenal take on the worst defence in the Premier League in Wolverhampton Wanderers. If you are in the UK and watched Wolves on Monday night you will know that they are miles clear in set play goals conceded this season and there probably isn’t a bigger threat from them than the Arsenal defender and with no William Saliba for this match we can focus purely on the Brazilian.
He averages a nudge under a shot per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season and although they are not always on target, against a woeful Wolves defence he has every chance of finding the target here. Wolves conceded twice from set plays on Monday night and we all know the Arsenal strength from corners in particular. You can get 3.10 on Gabriel having a shot on target, 13.00 on him having two and 8.00 on him scoring and they all look like acceptable prices.
