There are two matches left in the Premier League weekend and they both come along on a Super Sunday of action where three of the big six are on show on a day where valuable points are on the line across the afternoon.
As always on the Super Sunday show, both of the matches are live and in full for us to enjoy in the UK so on what is expected to be another cold and wet day up and down the country there is no reason not to sit back and watch an afternoon of football.
Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (14.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
The opening match of the afternoon will see Liverpool looking to regain their seven point lead at the top of the table when they host a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who will be looking to put five points between themselves and the bottom three.
Liverpool have had a tricky week with the cup loss at Plymouth and being pegged back late in the Merseyside derby and it will be interesting to see how they handle that here, not least because they are going to be without their manager Arne Slot in the dugout after his red card in midweek. Wolves can probably treat this one as a free hit given that the teams below them all failed to win so there would be no damage done should they come up dry here and that might make them dangerous, especially with the likes of Matheus Cunha in great form and with a stage to impress on. You would expect Liverpool to have what is needed to get the job done here but there are enough factors such as no Slot on the sidelines, a free hit for Wolves, who do have goals in them, and the magnitude of the fallout of the midweek match to just let them get the victory if they are good enough at the prices.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United (16.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)
The second match of the day and the final one of the weekend comes from the capital where the two most underperforming teams in the league will look to get things back on track when Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United.
These two sides are in a bit of a mess right now but I think Tottenham are probably be in the better state of the two. They have a squad to be competitive but their injuries have just ruined them but after a rare midweek off you would imagine they will be as good as they can be in this match. Manchester United have way more issues than Tottenham. They have injuries of their own but they have a manager who is hell bent on playing a formation that just doesn’t suit the Premier League and I’m not convinced he has the personnel to play it anyway. Any team that plays three at the back can be exposed by top level wingers and the likes of Kulusevski, Son and Tel should be able to do that. The Amad Diallo injury feels like a massive one for United who have already lost twice to Tottenham this season. You would imagine goals will come in this match but Spurs have a trio of players back at just the right time and with them having offered an ounce more pragmatism than before in some games recently I think they will get the better of a really poor United side who were simply dreadful for an hour against an equally as terrible Leicester City in the cup last week. There are a ton of injuries on both sides though so I’ll put the draw cover in play but if there is a winner I expect it to be Tottenham.
