The midweek action in the Premier League continues on Wednesday night when another six matches take place up and down the country with title challengers, relegation threatened sides and those in between looking for three valuable points.
The beauty of the midweek matches is that they are all available to watch on the TV in the UK, although you will need plenty of devices to keep across all of the action as the kick off times clash for all the games.
Wednesday’s fixtures are as follows: (7.30pm unless stated; UK TV in brackets)
Arsenal vs Brentford (Sky Sports Main Event)
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Aston Villa (Sky Sports Cricket)
Burnley vs Crystal Palace (Sky Sports Tennis)
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Nottingham Forest (Sky Sports F1)
Leeds United vs Chelsea (8.15pm – Sky Sports Premier League)
Liverpool vs Sunderland (8.15pm – Sky Sports Football)

Preview
The leaders Arsenal have the chance to restore their five point lead on Wednesday night when they welcome Brentford to the Emirates Stadium. Only one of the six wins Brentford have had this season have come away from home so the Gunners will be confident of a victory. Chelsea will be hoping that Arsenal slip up and if they do they will be looking to move a little closer to their London rivals in the table when they head to Elland Road to take on Leeds United who need to be picking up points in their battle to beat the drop. Aston Villa have quietly snuck into the top four and they will also be hoping for a slip up from the leaders which they will hope to take advantage of when they go to the Amex Stadium to play Brighton and Hove Albion.
The champions Liverpool are on show on Wednesday evening too and after a morale boosting win over West Ham at the weekend they will be looking for successive wins when they host high flying Sunderland in one of the two later kick offs. There is a big game at the bottom of the table when Wolverhampton Wanderers host Nottingham Forest at Molineux while in the other match Burnley welcome Crystal Palace to Turf Moor with the home side hoping to pick up the result they need which will bring them out of the bottom three.
Betting
I like three bets over the course of the evening. The first of them comes in the match at the Emirates Stadium where both teams to score looks like a decent punt when Arsenal host Brentford. Both teams to score has landed in the last three meetings between these two which means that the Bees found the back of the net against Arsenal with their strongest defence both times last season. Fast forward to here and they are potentially without both of their first-choice centre-backs and the likelihood of a Brentford goal has to be just as high, especially when you consider they have scored in five of their six away games this term. Arsenal are just as relentless in front of goal. They have scored in 12 of their 13 matches this season and will be expected to score here too. At 23/20 I like both teams to score here.
The other bets I like come in the match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest where I think goals are on the agenda. To be fair to Wolves, they were unlucky not to get something at Villa Park on Sunday but they put up a much better showing and now they will be eyeing up their first win on home soil against a team not too far away from them in the table. You get the feeling that we are at the stage where Wolves have to take a few more risks at home and that might suit Nottingham Forest. Forest would have been expected to tighten right up under Sean Dyche but prior to the 2-0 loss at home to Brighton at the weekend, four of their previous five in the Premier League had gone over 2.5 goals. I wouldn’t put anyone off betting the over on that line but you can get just under evens on over 2.25 which protects half of our stake should there only be two goals so I’ll take that instead. The other bet I like in this match is for Yerson Mosquera to score anytime at 16/1. He rattled the cross bar at Villa Park on Sunday and I know having had Rob Edwards as the manager of my club that he focuses strongly on set plays. Forest still haven’t solved their vulnerability against dead balls so the big defender looks a massive price to notch here.
