Premier League – Saturday 11th February Matches Betting Preview

The latest Premier League weekend kicks off with seven matches on Saturday including an intriguing tussle between two title rivals on a day where the leaders Chelsea are there to be shot at given that they don’t play until Sunday.

As ever there are three kick off times on Saturday and a couple of juicy TV matches for us to enjoy on what looks a good day of football.

Early Kick Off

The action begins at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal, needing to keep their eye on the here and now rather than their Champions League clash in midweek, take on a Hull City side who are starting to put some results together and who can move up to 15th ahead of the other matches should they win the game. An Arsenal win will take them third for 48hrs.

3pm Matches

Manchester United will look to move above Liverpool and maybe Arsenal depending on the result of the earlier match when they host Watford at Old Trafford. Middlesbrough host an Everton side who have found their scoring boots all of a sudden while Stoke will look to move back into the top half when they host a stumbling Crystal Palace.

Sunderland will be looking to build on their emphatic win last week when they entertain road shy Southampton while two sides in the top half will be looking for three more Premier League points when West Ham host West Brom at the London Stadium.

Late Game

Anfield hosts the closer as Liverpool take on Tottenham in a massive match for the home side. Their title chances might already have gone but if Liverpool lose this one they certainly will have done. Tottenham can move to within six points of Chelsea if they win the game before the leaders play on Sunday.

Betting

Two bets interest me on Saturday. The first is on an Everton side who have really found their mojo in recent times. They head to a Middlesbrough side who are really beginning to struggle. Middlesbrough are winless in seven now and more worrying they have only scored three goals in that time and you sense the manager is beginning to lose his cool under the pressure that is on them.

Everton go into the match in good form. They have won five of their last seven and have 19 goals in that time including six against Bournemouth last weekend. The groove they have got themselves in is a good one and I fancy the Toffees to extend their winning run here.

I’m also keen to take on Southampton whose eyes must be turning towards the EFL Cup final at the end of the month. They haven’t been great on the road at the best of times this season let alone now. If Sunderland aren’t buzzing with confidence now they never will be. Last week’s win gives them a springboard to build on and more importantly back to back clean sheets will have given them extra belief. I’m not having the Black Cats as such heavy outsiders here and so I think they are worth an investment.
