Premier League – Saturday 15th April Matches Betting Preview

There is only one round of matches over the Easter period in the Premier League and they begin with seven matches on another packed Saturday of action in the top flight. We have to wait until later in the weekend for the leaders to feature but Saturday is a big day for a number of other clubs in the mix at either end of the table.

As with most Saturday’s we have the usual three kick off times this time around with plenty to keep tabs on at each time in what should be a worthwhile Saturday.

Early Kick Off

For the second time in a week the early kick off will take place at White Hart Lane. This time it is Bournemouth who head to London to take on a Tottenham side who once again have the chance to ramp up the pressure on leaders Chelsea if they can win the game. That would move them to within four points of Chelsea for 24hrs at least.

3pm Matches

There are five matches in the usual slot this week. Crystal Palace will look to move further clear of safety when they host the champions Leicester who are likely to have other things on their minds. Everton welcome Burnley to Goodison Park while Sunderland host West Ham in what is a huge match at the bottom of the table.

Relegation threatened Hull City head to struggling Stoke in another big game on Saturday while Swansea will look to take advantage of any slacking in a Watford side that they face at Vicarage Road.

Late Game

The action finishes for the day at St Mary’s where Southampton will be looking to pick up another home win when they take on a Manchester City side who could move up to third in the table with a win and enhance their Champions League qualifying hopes in the process.

Betting

I’m going with two bets on Saturday. The first is a fairly obvious pick on Crystal Palace. While odds on isn’t ideal I don’t think Leicester’s minds are going to be on this match with a Champions League game in midweek and one in which they have every chance in too.

We saw Crystal Palace looking very good on Monday night and a repeat of that match and performance here should be more than enough to get them a much needed three points, a vital three points given the horrendous ending to the season they have fixture wise.

The other bet comes in the form of West Ham. They head to goal shy Sunderland who have failed to notch at all in their last seven matches and who look to be disappearing from the Premier League without a fight. Much has been made of Slaven Bilic’s side this season but they are safe enough now and given that he is under ridiculous pressure I don’t see West Ham easing up. Even if they do they should still have enough to win this one.
