Premier League – Sunday 12th February Matches Betting Preview

The Premier League weekend continues on Sunday as two matches make up another Super Sunday show on Sky Sports. It is a big day for the top of the table too with the leaders Chelsea in action while there is a huge clash at the bottom as well.

Burnley vs Chelsea

Chelsea go into this match with the chance to move 12pts clear at the top of the table but they won’t necessarily find it easy against a Burnley side who I have highlighted as having a brilliant home record all season.

Going into the season this would have been a bonus match for Burnley in that anything they got from it would be a bonus in their quest to avoid relegation but they’ve been so good there is no issue with relegation so they can have a real go here and see if they can turn the leaders over.

Chelsea are an unstoppable machine at the minute and they go into this match off the back of a good win over Arsenal with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard in excellent form but they have only won one of their last three away matches so at 4/9 they could be a little short here.

Arsenal and Man City are the only two sides to have escaped Turf Moor with three points since the opening day of the season so I’m not convinced Chelsea are going to have this all their own way. Both those defeats were by single goals so there is plenty to suggest that Burnley can at least stay tight here if not pinch something from the match. A 1.25 Asian line is probably a shade too big so I’m with the hosts here.

Swansea vs Leicester

It might not be at the top of the table but this is one of the biggest matches of the Premier League season so far. These two sides went into the weekend one point above the drop zone and one of them will ease their relegation fears while the other will be pulled right back into the thick of it again.

Swansea have shown an upturn in form in recent times since Paul Clement went in there. They have won three of their last five matches and were denied a point in the very last minute at Manchester City last week so they are definitely going in the right direction.

The same can’t be said about the champions though. They have won just one of their last nine matches and the fantasy notion that they could be relegated has become a genuine reality now and they are desperate for a result but with no away win all season and just three points from 36 on the road you would be a brave man to predict it comes here.

The temptation is to go with the form side here and back Swansea but they are plenty short enough in a match where nerves and tension is going to play a significant role. If the match goes with the form book Swansea will win but the form book seems to go out of the window for matches like this so I’ll sit this one out.
