Premier League – Sunday 4th December Matches Betting Preview

The top end of the Premier League will be in focus again on Sunday as two more title challengers are in action across the usual two games on the Super Sunday double header. After Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all won on Saturday it is the turn of Liverpool and Man Utd to respond on Sunday.

Liverpool take part in the earlier game of the two when they face Bournemouth while United have the envious trip to Goodison Park to take on an Everton side who will go above them should they win the match.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool

After last week’s defeat to Arsenal it is now one win in five for Bournemouth so they could do with getting back to winning ways here but against a Liverpool side who are going well this season that isn’t going to be particularly easy.

Liverpool will move back into second place in the table with a win here and they are odds on to pick up that win but Philippe Coutinho is out injured as is Daniel Sturridge and they are defence openers that Liverpool will miss while they are out so I can’t be rushing in at odds on.

Bournemouth’s lack of a recent result puts me off them a bit too so I’m going to sit this one out but those who can’t resist getting involved could do worse than taking Liverpool to win by the odd goal in what looks a tight enough match.

Everton vs Man Utd

This match is the battle for sixth place with the winners getting themselves into the title and European mix and the losers having to play a serious amount of catch up much earlier into the season than they would have planned.

You would be hard pushed to say either side have been convincing in this campaign but Everton are unbeaten at home and United have already been to Merseyside this season and proven to be hard to beat when they held Liverpool to a goalless draw.

Both managers have been critical of their side’s in recent times so you get the feeling this is a big game for both and as such it might be a tighter game than we would like to enjoy but the need for a win for both is pretty strong. With that in mind I’ll go with under 2.5 goals with neither wanting to commit too much and make a critical and costly error.
