Big Matches

The televised action comes from the Ricoh Arena where Coventry City will look to bounce back from their mauling in midweek when they host the team who on paper look the best in the league in Fulham. The Cottagers can move top of the table for a couple of hours should they win that match but Coventry will move back into the top three if they come out on top. Whatever happens in that game, AFC Bournemouth can move clear at the summit if they take all three points from their battle against Sheffield United at the Vitality Stadium.

Best of the Rest

Blackburn are the other members of the top six who are in action on Saturday afternoon. They make the short trip to the seaside to take on a Blackpool side who are making a good fist of their first season back in the Championship. Two members of the top 10 meet at Kenilworth Road where Luton Town host Huddersfield Town while at the other end of the table Derby County will look to close in on the sides above them when they host Swansea City. The other two sides in the relegation zone both have home matches as Peterborough United take on Bristol City while Hull City meet Middlesbrough.

Betting

This doesn’t look the easiest card in the world so I’m going to stick to what I know once again and for the third time this week take the goals in the Luton Town match. This time they take on Huddersfield Town and Hatters fans will be well aware that weird things can happen in the third game of a week. In their first season in the Championship they were done 7-0 by Brentford while Reading put five past them in similar circumstances last season. Already this term they have lost 5-0 and drawn 3-3 after a midweek match.

That will give Huddersfield hope but Luton come into the game absolutely flying after a 5-0 win in midweek and are starting to get enough players coming back that there is the option to rotate those who need a rest so actually both teams should like the matchup here. There have been 30 goals in the 10 Huddersfield matches this season while 34 have been scored in the 10 games Luton have been a part of. I see no reason why those averages won’t be maintained here.
