Sky Bet Championship 2021-22 – Sunday 24th October Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

There are two matches on Sunday afternoon to round off the latest weekend in the Sky Bet Championship and they should be two very competitive games given how congested the table currently is.

Both of these matches are on show on the red button on Sky for those who have that service so there is no reason to miss any of the games. There are all the other ways to stay up to date throughout the afternoon too.

Barnsley vs Sheffield United (12.30)

The opening match of the afternoon sees two Yorkshire teams battling it out when Barnsley host Sheffield United in a clash where both teams will be eager for the points having made less than ideal starts to their campaign this term.

Barnsley find themselves in the bottom three heading into the afternoon after really struggling since the departure of Valerien Ismael and Alex Mowatt with a change in style not coming naturally for the Tykes. Sheffield United were very poor in the opening few weeks of the season but since adding some players as the transfer window closed they have been better, but probably still not where Slavisa Jokanovic would like them to be. On form and what we’ve seen this season I would expect the Blades to come out on top here but I’ve been burnt on them on the road before and can live without that possibility again here.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham (15.00)

The second match of the day comes from the City Ground where two form teams meet as Nottingham Forest play host to Fulham in a match which could be defining for both sides and what lies ahead.

Forest have found their feet since Steve Cooper took charge and you would imagine they will take the game to their opponents here but you wouldn’t say Forest have been completely convincing defensively. The only clean sheet they have kept came against a goal shy Birmingham outfit but Fulham on the road aren’t convincing much more. They have only won one of their last four away matches and that was also at the aforementioned Birmingham so that will give Forest a little encouragement. I think it sets the match up for a few goals with over 2.5 goals here perfectly acceptable odds. Forest’s last four have contained more than 2.5 goals while Fulham have been involved in a 5-1 and two 4-1s, winning one and losing one, this season on their travels. I like goals here.
