Preview

The main televised game on Tuesday evening sees two sides who are hoping to be relevant in the race for the Premier League battling it out at the Vitality Stadium when AFC Bournemouth look to build on their win at the weekend when they host a QPR side who performed a Houdini act against Reading. Blackburn Rovers did the exact opposite at the weekend, surrendering a 2-0 lead at home to Luton Town, and in the other televised match they will be looking to make up for that when they take on Hull City at Ewood Park.

West Bromwich Albion hit the front in terms of the top of the table on Saturday and they will look to move further clear when they entertain Derby County on Tuesday. Another of the recently relegated sides are also in action on Tuesday when Sheffield United host Preston North End. There are two other matches on the evening. Blackpool host a Huddersfield Town side who lost at the weekend while Reading take on Peterborough United.

Betting

There are a couple of bets which catch my eye over the course of the evening but I’m not as confident in one of them as I’d like to be which leaves me with the one bet on Tuesday. That comes in the match between Reading and Peterborough United at the Madejski Stadium, where I’m expecting a number of goals between the two leakiest defences in the Sky Bet Championship but two attacks which are still scoring goals.

In the matches containing these two sides on Saturday there were 14 goals and although they weren’t against each other then, I expect goals when they do meet on Tuesday. Six of those goals ended up in the Peterborough net courtesy of a goal sky Sheffield United up until that point. They still scored a pair themselves though. Reading found the net three times on Saturday to make it 10 goals scored in their six matches. They have conceded 16 though. Peterborough have shipped 14 and I expect those tallies to be added to here.
