Preview

The televised game comes from Vicarage Road where two sides who have spent a lot of time on our screens recently meet as Watford play host to Reading. Both sides begin the night outside of the top six so will be looking to pick up the points to give them a shot of going into the break in a handy position. The top two aren’t in action this week so Sheffield United have the chance to move back to the top of the table when they welcome fellow Yorkshire side Rotherham United to Bramall Lane. QPR are the next highest team on show. They host bottom of the pile Huddersfield Town while Wigan Athletic will look to come out of the bottom three when they travel to Coventry City.

Luton Town are another team in action on Tuesday evening. They face Stoke City in what could be a very strange atmosphere with Nathan Jones potentially in charge of the Hatters for the final time against the team he left them for before returning. The other three matches see Birmingham City hosting Swansea City, Blackpool taking on Middlesbrough at Bloomfield Road and Cardiff City welcoming Hull City to the Welsh capital.

Betting

QPR have hit a bit of a sticky patch in the last three matches, which is ironic because you would have thought that after Mick Beale turned Wolves down they would have been on a high and producing their best stuff. While backing out of form teams isn’t always the route to success, QPR get to face Huddersfield Town on Tuesday evening and that match couldn’t have come at a better time because the Terriers look in a real bad spot at the minute.

Huddersfield only have two points on their travels all season and one of those points needed two own goals from Luton Town to come their way. I said right at the beginning of the campaign that warning bells were ringing for me with regards to the Terriers and nothing I’ve seen has changed my mind. QPR lost at home to West Brom at the weekend but it might just be that they are about to come good. Rangers have only lost one other match at home this season and I don’t see them losing this. In fact, with Chris Willock getting back to full fitness I expect a comfortable home win here.

Tips

Back QPR (-0.75AH) to beat Huddersfield Town for a 3/10 stake at 1.95 with William Hill
