Big Matches
The main TV cameras will head to The New Den on Tuesday evening as two sides much closer to the relegation zone than they would want to be meet when Millwall welcome Cardiff City with the visitors buoyed by their emphatic win in the South Wales derby at the weekend. At the other end of the table, Sheffield United have the chance to go back to the top of the table when they make the trip to Wales to take on Swansea City, while Sunderland in fourth spot will look to get right in among the automatic promotion shake up when they travel to Derby County.
Best of the Rest
It will be an emotional night for Tony Mowbray on Tuesday when he takes his new West Bromwich Albion side to the Riverside Stadium to face his former club Middlesbrough in a battle of the two teams either side of the playoff line. Blackburn Rovers will be looking to consolidate fifth spot when they host Coventry City while Watford will be looking to move into the top six when they entertain Preston North End. Hull City will look to pull away from the bottom three when they host QPR while Luton Town will be eager to escape the relegation zone when they go on their travels to play Oxford United.
Betting
The pressure is beginning to mount on Derby County boss Paul Warne after four successive defeats and while his Rams side have a solid home record, his team were booed off in the defeat to Watford at the weekend and that will be music to the ears of a classy Sunderland outfit who have the benefit of heading to the midlands having played on the Friday night and had slightly longer to prepare for this one, which at this time of the year is certainly a welcome advantage if not necessarily a telling one.
Sunderland should have beaten Burnley on Friday night and if they are creating chances against them they should be able to against a Derby side who have lost central defender Curtis Nelson for the remainder of the season. There is enough in this Sunderland squad even with all their injuries to rotate where they need to and certainly enough quality in attacking areas to get the better of the Derby defence. The Black Cats are looking a little more solid at the back with players returning too and with a bit of draw cover on the Asian lines they look the bet here.
