It might be the international break but there are still a few Sky Bet League 1 matches which have survived all the call ups and they will be played on Saturday afternoon as 10 teams get the chance to better their position in the table.
The beauty of the matches in an international break is that they are all on TV in the UK so if you do have a bet you can watch the progress of it rather than rely on the usual updates in the normal places as we often have to do.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (All 3pm and all Sky Sports+)
Burton Albion vs Blackpool
Lincoln City vs Doncaster Rovers
Luton Town vs Rotherham United
Leyton Orient vs Exeter City
Port Vale vs Wycombe Wanderers

Preview
Just three teams in the top half of the table will be on show over the course of Saturday with Lincoln City the highest placed team in action. They begin the day inside the top six but if they can overcome Doncaster Rovers by a couple of goals when the two meet at Sincil Bank then they will end the day top of the table. Doncaster will be looking to arrest a run of no league win in eight. Luton Town and Rotherham United are the other two teams in the top half on show and they meet in a juicy looking clash at Kenilworth Road.
At the other end of the table four of the bottom six are in action. The two teams immediately above the relegation zone face off in the capital when Leyton Orient welcome Exeter City to Brisbane Road. Blackpool begin the day fourth from bottom but with the two sides above them facing each other they are guaranteed to come out of the relegation zone if they can head to the Pirelli Stadium and pick up three points against Burton Albion. Port Vale will welcome Wycombe Wanderers in the other match.
Betting
There isn’t a huge amount to go on in the shortened list of matches on Saturday but there is a bet which catches my eye and that is for Lincoln City to get the better of Doncaster Rovers. The Imps have had a bit of a wobble in recent weeks but they looked a good side when I saw them earlier in the campaign and I think they can get back on track against a Doncaster Rovers side who are without a win in eight and who aren’t travelling particularly well.
Doncaster have just seven points in seven games on their travels this term but it is the low tally of four goals across those matches which is more of a concern. Half of those came in their opening away game and with just two points in eight games overall this is a sticky spell for Donny, who will be without Sean Grehan to international duty. Lincoln are without a win or a goal in their last three in the league but they were all away from Sincil Bank. On home soil they are 4-2-1 as opposed to 3-2-3 away from home so back in surroundings which suit them against a team who aren’t as good on their travels, this looks like a good spot for Lincoln to get back to winning ways.
