We are at the part of the Sky Bet League 1 season where teams who have missed matches because of the international breaks are catching them up and two such games take place on Tuesday night as four teams go in search of three points.
Both the matches are live on the TV for us to be able to watch if we have a bet and want to follow it visually so with the nights drawn in now there is no reason not to sit back and enjoy some League 1 football.
Bradford City vs Lincoln City (19.45 – Sky Sports+)
Two teams who are going very well in League 1 this season meet at Valley Parade when Bradford City, arguably the best team in the division over the opening quarter of the season, play host to a dangerous and high quality Lincoln City side in what should be a cracking game of football.
Bradford have started the season with just one defeat from their opening 13 matches and a win here will send them back to the top of the table heading into the FA Cup break but Lincoln haven’t been far behind the Bantams and were they to come away from Yorkshire with the three points they would finish the night in second place in the table. I think it is fair to say that both of these sides would probably have been expected to push for the top six but maybe come up a little short but there are certainly few signs of either fading away, although Lincoln do arrive at Valley Parade off the back of two defeats in three. Only Stevenage have conceded fewer goals this term than Lincoln but no team in League 1 have scored more than Bradford so this is an intriguing battle but it is one that I think is best watched rather than bet on.

Mansfield Town vs Plymouth Argyle (19.45 – Sky Sports+)
The other match on Tuesday night takes us to the One Call Stadium where Mansfield Town will look to move closer to the top six when they entertain a Plymouth Argyle side who are at the wrong end of the table and under pressure to get a result.
Plymouth would have been expected to be challenging at the top end of the table but they find themselves in the relegation zone and need a win here to get out of immediate danger. The two big issues they have is their away form is very poor, and has been over an extended period of time, and no team in the division have conceded more goals than Argyle this term. Considering they are away from home here you could forgive the Pilgrims fans for lacking confidence for this match. I expected Mansfield Town to struggle a bit this term after a poor ending to last season and enough of an overhaul in the summer for things to not immediately click this time around but after beginning with successive defeats, the Stags have turned things around nicely and are 5-4-2 since then which includes winning at Luton and drawing with Stevenage and Lincoln who are both going well. Mansfield are unbeaten at home since their first home game of the season while Plymouth have won just twice on their travels, at a pretty average Burton side and at Luton on a day where some crazy stuff happened. The pattern of the tide is that Plymouth will soon add to the growing list of teams who dismiss their manager and Mansfield look a fair price to be backed to speed up the process.
