Big Matches

Doncaster can be promoted on Saturday if they win and Stevenage lose later in the day. Doncaster head to Grimsby in the earlier kick off while Stevenage host Barnet. Plymouth aren’t far from automatic promotion themselves and they host Accrington while Portsmouth in third make the long journey to Hartlepool. In the playoffs fifth placed Blackpool travel to sixth placed Luton.

Best of the Rest

Exeter are currently staving up a significant chase for the final playoff spot but they will lose it if they fail to beat Mansfield on Saturday. At the other end of the table relegation threatened Leyton Orient host Wycombe while Newport welcome Crawley to Wales. Cheltenham are at home to Morecambe.

Betting

I like two bets on Saturday and they come on sides who are chasing promotion. Stevenage have lit the league up in the last couple of months and at home they are especially strong at the minute and I think they have enough in them to see off a limited Barnet side who have absolutely no consistency whatsoever. Last week’s win over Cheltenham ended a winless streak for Barnet but Stevenage have won their last seven home games and look good value for an eighth straight win at the Lamex.

Exeter have had their dry patches this season but for me they are massively overpriced in their match at Mansfield. In fairness to Mansfield they have bounced back from a bad run of their own recently but Exeter don’t get beat very often right now as we saw last week when they produced an amazing comeback from 3-0 down to Yeovil. Exeter look the better side of the two to me and I expect them to get a result of some kind here.
