Skybet League Two – Saturday 15th October Matches Betting Preview

After a rare week off the 24 sides in League Two are back in action on Saturday afternoon all looking for a win which could do wonders for them in what remains a very tight table. Just nine points separate 14 sides from second to 16th so a win in this fixture list could make a big impression.

Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:

Accrington v Blackpool

Barnet v Exeter

Cambridge v Grimsby

Carlisle v Hartlepool

Cheltenham v Crawley

Doncaster v Colchester

Leyton Orient v Luton

Mansfield v Wycombe

Morecambe v Stevenage

Notts County v Crewe

Plymouth v Portsmouth

Yeovil v Newport

Big Matches

There is no doubt about what is the match of the day in this division. It is the one between Plymouth and Portsmouth at Home Park. That sees first taking on fourth and with teams queuing up in behind Pompey it is a game they can’t afford to lose.

Elsewhere second placed Doncaster host Colchester in a battle of two relegated sides while Carlisle host Hartlepool in a Northern battle. Fifth placed Luton go to Leyton Orient in another high profile clash on Saturday.

Best of the Rest

New Newport manager Graham Westley takes charge of his first game when the Welsh side head to Yeovil while high flyers Crawley and Morecambe travel to Cheltenham and host Stevenage respectively. Accrington and Blackpool meet in a Lancashire derby of sorts.

Betting

This isn’t a great round of matches for me. There isn’t a huge amount that stands out to me here but there is one bet I like. I do fancy Luton with plenty of draw cover but they’ve burnt me a couple of times recently so I’ll take a watching brief on that with them having three winnable matches to come.

Doncaster could only manage a push for me against Barnet last week which was slightly annoying but they did win the game so I’m happy to take them again against a Colchester side who have really hit the skids. They are without a win in five matches and a draw with Newport last week wasn’t a particularly inspiring result.

Doncaster have the best home record in the league and are unbeaten at the Keepmoat this season whereas Colchester only have one win on the road and that was at a struggling Wycombe at the time. I expect the home side to win this with a bit to spare.

Tips

HALF WON – Back Doncaster (-0.75AH) to beat Colchester for a 4/10 stake at 1.94 with 188bet
