The Super League weekend continues on Friday night with another two matches taking place in the competition. The games see the two sides who graced Old Trafford last season in action on what feels like an early pivotal evening in the campaign.
One of the two matches are live on the TV for us to watch and enjoy with the other one no doubt having regular updates during the coverage throughout the night as we see four of the play-off teams from last term on show. We’ll begin with the TV game.
Warrington Wolves vs Catalans Dragons (20.00 – Sky Sports Arena)
The televised match on Friday night comes from the Halliwell Jones Stadium where the Warrington Wolves will look to continue their perfect start to the season when they host the beaten team from the Grand Final last term in the Catalans Dragons.
When this match loomed on the horizon it looked like being one of the pick of the matches in the opening four weeks of the campaign but unfortunately now that it has arrived the Dragons have a number of injuries and suspensions which makes you think they are probably going to struggle here. Warrington get a couple of players back and have shown their class at times this season but in recent times they have stunk the place out as a favourite so I’m in no rush to back them to cover a dozen points. I’ll watch this one and hope it is a better match than it feels it could be on paper.

Hull KR vs St Helens (20.00)
The match away from the TV cameras comes from Craven Park where Hull KR look to build on their win from last week when they play host to the champions St Helens in what should be a decent occasion on the red side of Hull.
KR will be boosted by the win over Castleford Tigers last time out and they get the former St Helens full-back Lachlan Coote back from injury here. Mikey Lewis has the stage to make a huge name for himself in this match but you have to think that the home side have their work cut out here. St Helens are yet to concede double figures in a match this season and they have played Catalans Dragons and Hull FC in their opening three matches. Not only are they not conceding many points but they are looking good in attack and are only going to get better as they build some continuity. Hull KR haven’t been as tight as they would like defensively this season and unless that improves it is hard to see Saints not covering a dozen points in this one.
