The Super League XXX weekend concludes on Saturday afternoon when the two remaining matches take place both in England and France on a day where four teams hoping to end the season in the top six will be on show.
We know that both matches will be live on the TV for us to enjoy here as all matches are this term but we actually have terrestrial coverage for one of the games so there is no reason to miss out on any of the action.
Leeds Rhinos vs Wakefield Trinity (16.30 – BBC 2 & Sky Sports+)
The match with the terrestrial TV coverage takes us to Headingley on Saturday afternoon for the Yorkshire derby between the Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity where consolidating their place in the top six is the order of the day for both teams.
These two have already met on this ground once this season when the Rhinos were narrowly defeated so they will be out for revenge on that while Wakefield make the short trip to Headingley knowing that they can win here. Both sides are in good form too. Leeds have won their last three and five of their last six while Trinity have also won their last three matches and have put up 110 points in their last two which were demolition jobs on Warrington and Salford. Both sides look strong in squad depth so this should be a good match. I’m a little surprised that Trinity are getting a 10 point start from bookmakers though. Only St Helens (twice) have covered that against Daryl Powell’s men and Wakefield look in really good touch right now. I would still fancy Leeds to get the job done here but the result in the opening week of the season tells us that it isn’t guaranteed. Wakefield +10 will do me here.

Catalans Dragons vs Hull FC (17.30 – Sky Sports+)
The final match of the round takes us over to France for the clash between a struggling Catalans Dragons side and a much improved Hull FC one, with the visitors having already been to France and come away with the win this season.
That will be the aim for the Black and Whites again here and it is hard to bet against them. They ended a run of four straight defeats with a win at Leigh last week and as I suggested when I put Hull up to win that match, their performances prior to that weren’t as bad as the results made out. The same certainly can’t be said of the Dragons who look in real trouble at the minute. It is four straight defeats for the French side in all competitions which has seen the end of Steve McNamara and injuries continue to hamper the club. They have failed to score a point in their last two matches and while I would expect that statistic to change here, the fact that they have conceded 26 points or more in all four of these defeats tells us that they are probably going to need to put up a lot of points to get anything out of this one. Hull FC are solid enough defensively. They haven’t conceded more than 18 points in any of their last three and if they don’t concede more here, and the way this Catalans attack looks currently you’d have to think they won’t, then Hull have more than enough firepower to get the job done in France once again.
