UEFA Nations League 2022-23 – Monday 13th June Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The penultimate day of action in this leg of the UEFA Nations League competition takes place on Monday evening when another five matches are played out in three different groups across the tournament.

The defending champions France are among the nations on show over the course of the evening while a couple of the emerging countries in European football are also taking to the pitch for the last time this season.

League A

Group A1 is the focus of attention in the main league on Monday evening which means that the defending champions France are on show once again. For the second time in a week we will get a repeat of the last World Cup final as they entertain Croatia. It is Denmark who are at the top of the table though and they are also in action on Monday evening. They host an Austria side who have such a good start to the campaign that they will move to the top if they can come out of this one with a win.

League B

It is group B2 which is the one which is in action on Monday which means we only have one match in this section to enjoy because it is the section which Russia were chucked out of after the draw was made. Albania therefore have the night off and they will be watching on as Iceland host Israel knowing that an Israel win would really set up their chances to win the group and achieve promotion. Iceland have the chance to keep their hopes alive if they can win though.

League C

The rest of the action on Monday comes from C3 which looks like it is going to be quite competitive between two sides who face each other in the early game to kick off of the two. That sees the leaders Kazakhstan looking to maintain their surprise position at the head of affairs when they host Slovakia, who will move above them should they win the game. The other match is all about avoiding a relegation play-off as Azerbaijan host Belarus.

Betting

I’ll go with one bet over the course of the night which comes in the form of both teams to find the back of the net when France host Croatia. I opposed Croatia in this fixture last week and was well on the way to winning despite Didier Deschamps making 11 changes out of the blue, only for Croatia to score a late penalty to level up the game. Since then the Croats have been to Denmark and won so it would appear they are building into their campaign.

France have conceded a goal in all three matches and look to lack rhythm defensively. I suspect all the constant changing in personnel isn’t helping them but it is at least keeping their attackers fresh to get after this Croatia back line. Croatia rested a couple of players in that match too but with this being the final game of the season I expect both teams to be at full strength and I expect them to both find the net in what may well be a more open game than usual give that France need to win.

Back France vs Croatia – Both teams to score for a 3/10 stake at 2.05 with William Hill
