The final set of matches in the UEFA Nations League campaign begin on Sunday when the groups that were in action on Thursday evening head back to the pitch to settle the final placings ahead of the remainder of the tournament.
Generally the majority of the top flight issues for the group on Sunday have been settled but there is plenty more at stake lower down the leagues with promotion and relegation matters very much in the spotlight.
League A
Just the one group in the top flight concludes on Sunday and that is A2 where we already know that Italy and France are the qualifiers for the quarter final. They meet in the marquee match on the night with France having to win by three goals if they want to top the group. The other two in the group meet to avoid automatic relegation when Israel host Belgium. Israel need to win and win by a couple of goals to achieve a relegation play-off. Any other result and it will be Belgium giving themselves a chance to remain in the top flight.
League B
Two groups conclude in League B on Sunday with B2 one of those where England have set up the opportunity to come out on top in the group when they welcome the Republic of Ireland to Wembley. An England win will see them automatically promoted to the top flight but should they slip up they open the door for Greece to top the group. For that to happen they would need to win in Finland. It is a lot less straightforward in B3 where Norway will be assured of a top two finish should they draw with Kazakhstan but a win could see them top the group and achieve automatic promotion should Austria slip up at home to Slovenia. A Slovenia win in that match would guarantee them a promotion play-off so there is plenty at stake there.

League C
Just the one group concludes in League C on Sunday and that is C4 where we already know that North Macedonia have sewn up the automatic promotion spot. They finish off the group with a home match against the Faroe Islands for whom the game is massive. If they avoid defeat in that match they will guarantee themselves a promotion play-off. Were they to lose the game then the door would be open for Armenia to snatch second spot late on. They would need to win in Latvia who are fighting to avoid relegation to the bottom tier.
Betting
Belgium only need a draw to make sure that they play off to avoid relegation but really they should be looking to show that they are a lot better than Israel, who need to go on the offensive in that match because the only way they can avoid immediate relegation is to win by two goals. That should play into the hands of a Belgium side who are still full of quality in attack and will be looking to prove that here so that they at least carry some confidence into the relegation play-off with them.
Regardless of all the sanctions placed upon them, Israel always looked like they would be outclassed at this level and that was even more the case when you consider the three sides they were drawn against. They haven’t won a game and the only point they picked up was on Thursday night in that eery atmosphere in France. Prior to that they had lost four straight matches and conceded 13 goals in the process. This is a neutral game not an away one and that should allow Belgium to show their class and win with a fair bit in hand.
