The UEFA Nations League returns on Thursday when the middle international break of the group phase of the latest staging of the competition takes place with groups reaching the halfway point of their journey over the course of the evening.
There are 10 matches in total on the first night of the latest international break with Italy, France and Belgium the big names in the top flight on show while it is an evening where England and the Republic of Ireland are in action too.
League A
There is just the one group on show in the top flight on Thursday evening and it is Group 2 which reaches the halfway point. Italy are the early pacesetters in this section having won both of their matches in the last international break. They welcome Belgium to Rome on Thursday evening. The other match sees France looking to keep the pressure up on the Italians. They head on their travels to take on an Israel side who looked a little out of their depth in this company before the group kicked off and that appears to be the case.
League B
There are two groups on show on Thursday evening with Group 2 one of those. This is already looking like a lopsided group with two sides on six points and two teams yet to get off the mark for their campaign. The two leaders meet at Wembley where England play host to Greece while the two stragglers face off when Finland host the Republic of Ireland. Group 3 is the other one in action on Thursday with the top two in this section facing off when Norway host Slovenia. Austria will be looking for their first win of the campaign when they take on Kazakhstan in the other match.

Leagues C + D
There is action in Leagues C and D on Thursday evening. In League C the focus will be on Group 4 where the matches get underway with one of the early kick offs when Latvia host North Macedonia while in the other game in this section the Faroe Islands host Armenia. The remaining action comes from League D where in Group 1 San Marino will look to take complete control of the section when they travel to Gibraltar while in Group 2 there is one match as Moldova play host to Andorra in the other early kick off.
Betting
The both teams to score yes market in the match between Norway and Slovenia has drifted significantly over the last few hours but I’m not so sure it should be doing because I think this is a match that both sides will believe they can win and will have a go to do exactly that. I’m not exactly convinced by either defence either which will help. Norway are at home but they flatter to deceive way too much for me to trust them at odds on while Slovenia have shown the sort of form over the last 12 months that should give them the belief they can win this match.
Both teams have played Austria in this competition and BTTS yes landed whereas both kept a clean sheet against Kazakhstan but they are a more limited side than either of these. One has Erling Haaland doing his thing for them and a generally vibrant attack in general while the other has Benjamin Sesko, and as we saw at the Euros a fairly decent support cast. Slovenia are generally involved in matches where both teams score in this competition and I don’t see anything different here.
