The last day of World Championship qualifying takes place in Sheffield on Wednesday where by the end of the second Judgement Day we will know who the 16 qualifiers for the Crucible Theatre are ahead of the draw on Thursday.
Judgement Day gives us guaranteed drama every single time it happens and there is nothing to suggest that Wednesday will be any different when you consider what is at stake for the 16 players who will be taking to the baize.
Streamed Matches
Although there is the Judgement Day coverage which takes us around the best bits across all of the tables, there are four tables which are being streamed where you can follow every ball of the action. The main table will be occupied by the history maker Jackson Page as he looks to make it into the main draw at the expense of the World Open finalist Joe O’Connor. Matthew Stevens is a win away from walking down the Crucible steps once again but he has a huge clash with the English Open and Scottish Open finalist Wu Yize while Ali Carter will look to get back to the World Championship when he faces He Guoqiang. Hossein Vafaei takes on the lowly ranked Wang Yuchen for a spot in the main draw.

Other Matches
Four other matches will be taking place in Sheffield on Wednesday and you will be able to follow the action in these games via the WST Judgement Day coverage. Each of these matches look like they could be full of drama with Matthew Selt looking to get the better of Jimmy Robertson in one of them while Michael Holt is a win away from playing at the Crucible for the first time since 2016. Jamie Jones has been to the Crucible in the past but it is Pang Junxu who is the man seeded to make it when they meet in the final qualifier. The Scottish Open champion Lei Peifan will go up against his countryman Gao Yang who is aiming to qualify as an amateur in the other match.
Betting
There isn’t a massive amount that I like over the course of Wednesday from the off at least but I do think that there is one bet to get involved in. Largely, I think the better bets could come at the interval when we have seen the tension mount and maybe an outsider gets off to a flying start and then the favourite becomes backable. The bet that I like initially comes in the form of Fan Zhengyi to get the better of Michael Holt and to do it with a bit to spare.
Fan has had a really quiet season by his standards but he wouldn’t be the first person to turn up fresh to this tournament and go well and he certainly wouldn’t be the last. He was probably a 50:50 shot to win the previous match against Robbie Williams but he made three tons and two 90s in that match and a repeat of that should be more than enough. Holt has done well to come past Oliver Lines and Stuart Bingham in the two previous rounds but Bingham is having problems with his cue action at the minute and didn’t really play like he can. I think Holt will need to show more than what he did in that match to come through here. Fan isn’t free wheeling but he is in that boat where he is playing without expectation and he can make it through to the Crucible for the second time.
