World Cup Qualifying – Friday 1st September European Matches Betting Preview

The second night of World Cup Qualifiers is the night where we see the defending champions in action along with three of the Home Nations in what should be another entertaining night of football across Europe.

With the end of the campaign beginning to get closer each match takes on added significance not just to those looking to make it to Russia but also for those looking longer term and wanting better Euro 2020 qualifying positions.

Group C

The world champions Germany are involved in the best looking match of the night in this group when they head to the Czech Republic. It is a big night for Northern Ireland who begin the evening in second place. They head to San Marino knowing they can’t afford to slip up while Norway host Azerbaijan in the other match.

Group E

This is the group with the only early kick off of the night where Kazakhstan host Montenegro. Poland head into the evening with their destiny in their own hands and they can further strengthen their position when they head to Denmark while Romania take on Armenia in the other game in the group.

Group F

All eyes will be on England in this group as they begin life without Wayne Rooney. They do so by heading to Malta in a match they are expected to win. Scotland know they go to Lithuania without being able to afford to lose while the other match sees Slovakia hosting Slovenia in the battle for second behind England.

Betting

I think this is a really tricky card and after a decent night on Thursday I am not going to push anything that I don’t need to here so with that in mind I will side with just the one bet across the schedule.

That comes on the defending champions Germany who I see as good things in the Czech Republic. The Czechs have already failed to beat Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan at home in this campaign and they laboured last an average Norway side. This Germany outfit are in a different stratosphere to those. Germany are buzzing at the minute and as we saw in the Confederations Cup the depth they have is pretty scary. I fancy them to win this match and do so with a bit in hand.
