While all the focus and the attention is on transfer deadline day there are seven more matches in the Premier League on Wednesday as many sides go in search of three valuable points that will assist them in their particular cause.
We had an entertaining evening in the top flight on Tuesday night and plenty more action is set to thrill us across Wednesday’s card including a huge match at Wembley Stadium.
Wednesday’s fixtures are as follows: (7.45pm unless stated)
Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth
Everton v Leicester City
Newcastle United v Burnley
Southampton v Brighton & Hove Albion
Manchester City v West Bromwich Albion (8pm)
Stoke City v Watford (8pm)
Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United (8pm)

Big Matches
The pick of the matches on Wednesday evening is the one between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium. Chelsea will be looking to take advantage of any possible United slip up when they host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge while the leaders Man City host West Brom.
Best of the Rest
It could be an important day for Newcastle United. They go in search of new signings and then three points when they host Burnley while all eyes will be on the Leicester City teamsheet at Everton to see if it has Riyad Mahrez on it or not. Two strugglers meet at St Mary’s as Southampton entertain Brighton while Stoke face Watford in the other game.
Betting
I like two bets here. The first is on a Stoke City side who have immediately improved since Paul Lambert took charge. They host a Watford side who are once again in limbo having got rid of a manager and you sense it might take a game or two for their new identity to come through. This will be a battle of hard work and toil against flair and I’m going for the work rate of the home side to secure the points for the Potters.
Manchester United are still to concede a goal in 2018 and while their defensive record faces its biggest test at Wembley on Wednesday evening I’m not so sure they should be the price they are to beat Tottenham. United’s powerful midfield runners will enjoy the space that Wembley provides while Alexis Sanchez should take advantage of the expansive pitch. Tottenham are much more solid at Wembley these days than previously but they’ve hit a wall in recent times with illness and injury robbing them of some key players. I don’t think United will lose this game and if Sanchez and Pogba are on form they could very easily win.
