A busy week in Sky Bet League 2 begins on Saturday when the 24 sides are all in action once again. With a midweek round and another set of fixtures next weekend to come the teams are going to be fully tested over the next week or so. They all have the chance to get the spell off to a fast start on Saturday.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:
Accrington Stanley v Newport County
Chesterfield v Exeter City
Colchester United v Morecambe
Forest Green Rovers v Crewe Alexandra
Grimsby Town v Carlisle United
Lincoln City v Coventry City
Luton Town v Cambridge United
Mansfield Town v Stevenage
Notts County v Cheltenham Town
Port Vale v Barnet
Wycombe Wanderers v Crawley Town
Yeovil Town v Swindon Town
Big Matches
The leaders Notts County host Cheltenham at Meadow Lane while second place Accrington Stanley welcome Newport County to the Wham Ground. Exeter in third are the only side in the top four who are on the road. They head to bottom placed Chesterfield while Luton in fourth welcome Cambridge United to Kenilworth Road which sees Luke Berry up against his former club for the first time.
Best of the Rest
Mark McGhee will begin his Barnet reign when his new side head to Port Vale while Mansfield Town host Stevenage. Swindon Town make the trip to Yeovil while there is a bit of a basement battle at the New Lawn where Forest Green host Crewe Alexandra. Coventry head to Lincoln for a battle of potentially play-off bound sides.

Betting
It might just be me but this is not a card where too much jumps out at me and as such I’m going to go with just the one bet. That comes in the form of an improving Forest Green side that I noted last week were on the up. It hasn’t happened for them at The New Lawn very often this season but I’m a big believer in winning breeding winning and they’ve been doing plenty of that.
Crewe have not been winning, especially away from home. They have lost their last six away from home and have only scored three goals in that time, two of which came in the same game. In all they have lost nine of their last 11 matches and with these two sides going in different directions I’m with the hosts here.
