2017-18 Sky Bet League 2 – Tuesday 20th March Matches Betting Preview

The Sky Bet League 2 season is bubbling along to a juicy conclusion and we continue the journey on Tuesday evening when three more matches in the division take place. Events at both ends of the table take place over the course of the three matches which should add to the intrigue of them.

Crewe vs Forest Green

Two sides in the bottom five meet at Gresty Road when Crewe Alexandra host Forest Green Rovers in a big match for both clubs. The pair go into the match level on points, six above the drop zone so if there is a winner here with matches running out they will believe they are going to be safe. The losers will remain in trouble.

Crewe have won two of their last five matches but they will be disappointed to have lost to Coventry at the weekend. Forest Green were building up a head of steam but have failed to win any of their last three although they have come against sides significantly higher in the table. This feels like an easier assignment for Forest Green but Crewe will fancy their chances too so this feels like a match to leave alone.

Morecambe vs Colchester

Two sides not really going anywhere meet at the Globe Arena where Morecambe, who mathematically could still be sucked into the relegation picture, host a Colchester side who want to be a part of the promotion shake up but who in reality are already too far behind for that to happen.

Colchester are without a win in four matches and three of the sides they have lost to in that run are in the bottom eight just like Morecambe are. Morecambe on the other hand have only lost three times since the turn of the year and they have all been to sides in the top five in the table.

Morecambe look to be the side on more of an upward turn than their opponents and so odds against on them on a draw no bet line looks to be a bet well worth tucking into.

Port Vale vs Exeter

Two sides without a win in a while meet at Vale Park when Port Vale, who have drawn their last four matches, go up against Exeter who have failed to win in their last three outings. Both sides need the points of this could be the most competitive match of the night.

Port Vale have done enough to keep their head above water but they probably need a couple of results to guarantee survival while Exeter need to avoid defeat to make it back into the top seven. If they win here they will suddenly be right back in the automatic promotion mix.

With that in mind I would probably suggest that this is a bigger match for the Grecians than it is their hosts but once again it has the feel of a match that is best left alone about it especially given the lack of form of the pair going into it.
