Group B gets underway in the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday. This is the Group of Death which should mean we see some top level football in Franceville. Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal and Zimbabwe get their campaigns started in the two matches on Sunday.
Algeria vs Zimbabwe
The action begins with arguably the best side in Africa in action. Algeria take on Zimbabwe, who have done well to make it into this stage of the tournament. Algeria will be under pressure to get the job done hereand they should rise to the occasion.
The attacking talent on this Algeria side looks incredible. While that doesn’t always translate into tournament wins I do believe it will have an effect on this match. I would be surprised if they don’t find the net in this one and if they do it early this could be a long afternoon for Zimbabwe.
On Zimbabwe’s side they have nothing to lose. While I don’t think they’ll have much of a go to begin with as the match goes on they can use their pace to counter attack. So I fancy this will be more of an open match and one which contains more than 2.25 goals.
Tunisia vs Senegal
We have a cracking blend of styles in the second match of the day. The defensively sound, technical style of Tunisia takes on the physical power of Senegal and it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top.
I’ve had a good look at the main markets for this match but I can’t say there is much I like. I think it will be low scoring so I wouldn’t put anyone off taking the under 2 or under 1.5 goals but I don’t have a strong enough feeling to get involved myself.
