Group B of the Gold Cup will conclude on Saturday evening into the early hours of Sunday morning for those of us on this side of the pond and all eyes will be on the tournament hosts to see if they can make it into the quarter finals.
We have three sides who can all qualify going into the last set of matches so we should be in for an entertaining night of football to close out the group in Cleveland.

Panama vs Martinique
The opening match of the night is the most important one as Panama and Martinique look to secure their qualification into the next round. A draw will put Panama through while Martinique need a victory to be certain of qualifying. A win for Panama could see them through as group winners.
Panama have looked decent enough so far in this tournament but Martinique have given as good as they have got in this competition so while this should be a really good match Panama are no certainties to win it.
I would have gone for overs in goals this one but Panama only need a draw to progress so they might not be as expansive as I would have liked so I’ll sit this opener out.
Nicaragua vs USA
The minnows know that they will be playing their final match of the tournament in this game but I am sure their national pride will want to see them go out with a bang. USA will secure top spot if they better Panama’s result but they could be eliminated if they lose by more than the rest of the opening game.
A draw would definitely see USA through but I think they have a necessity to entertain in this tournament and look to win the group. If they win the group they will face a third placed side in the next round whereas the runner up spot sees them collide with Costa Rica which they will want to avoid.
I fancy Nicaragua might come out and have a real go here and try and make it nervy for the home side but USA have enough to counter that so I expect to see goals in this one and am happy to go with over 3.
