Another week of NFL action begins on Thursday night with two of the best sides in the AFC this season meeting at Heinz Field when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Tennessee Titans in a match which could very well be repeated come the playoffs at the end of the season.
Nobody has a better record in the Conference than the 7-2 one Pittsburgh carry into the match but the Titans are not far behind at 6-3 so on paper at least this looks like being one of the best Thursday games of the year so far.

Pittsburgh Steelers
It has not always been pretty, especially last week, but Pittsburgh are on a run of four successive wins either side of the bye week and if they can make that five they will be in a very good position to give themselves both a postseason bye and a home match if not full home advantage throughout the course of the playoffs.
When you consider how many powerful players there are on this Steelers offense it is quite amazing that they average less than 21pts a match over the course of the season. At some point they will fire into life and it could be here against a side who have had little time from which to prepare given the early nature of the game.
Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans are enjoying a really positive season. They needed to because at one stage the AFC South looked like it could become a genuine three horse race when Deshaun Watson was doing his thing for the Houston Texans. His injury has left the fight between the Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars so Tennessee need to keep winning.
When you think that Marcus Mariota has been playing with injury for a lot of the campaign their form has been even more impressive. He will play this match. The Titans are also on an excellent run of four successive wins with the latest three all by four points or less which shows they are capable of holding their nerve under pressure.

Betting
Amazingly the Pittsburgh Steelers are the second worst side in red zone scoring this season which is quite incredible when you consider who they have on their offense. On the flip side of that they have the second ranked defence in the league statistically so they may not concede many points.
Tennessee matches have tended to be low scoring this season but these Thursday night matches don’t always follow logic like that so I’m going to play the total field goals here. With Pittsburgh struggling to convert drives and Tennessee running up against a top defence I fancy both may have to settle for field goals rather than touchdowns. I’ll go with over 3.5 here.
