The final match in Week 4 of the NFL season comes from Arrowhead Stadium when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Washington Redskins in the latest Monday Night Football. Both sides have begun their season very strongly with the Chiefs sitting on a 3-0 start while Washington have recovered from an opening week loss to sit on a 2-1 record.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs made a real break out statement in the opening week of the season when they went to Foxboro and took care of the New England Patriots in emphatic style. They haven’t really eased up since then either with wins over the Eagles and the Chargers in pretty ruthless fashion since then. Both sides of the ball is functioning nicely for them now.
We saw in that season opener that this is a much more dynamic Chiefs offense now. The addition of Kadeem Hunt to excellent receiving threats such as Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce make them a force. When you add in the quality of their defence, who seem to be getting plenty of takeaways at the minute, you have a very strong side.
Washington Redskins
It had the potential to be one of those seasons for the Washington Redskins after they slipped up in their opening match. Credit must go to everyone involved in their organisation for the way they have bounced back. They have had successive wins. You can question what they’ve beaten if you want to but that is always unfair.
One of the reasons why they have gone so well has been their running backs who have got them down the field not just on the ground but through the air too. That has opened up the field for the likes of Jamison Crowder and Vernon Davis. Last week against Oakland it was their defence which really stepped up and caught the eye which bodes well.

Betting
The effort of Washington Redskins last week was enough for me to respect them just about high enough to not take them on with what is a pretty hefty handicap but the danger of a defensive touchdown covering the spread puts me off riding the Skins on the cap so I’m off to the player performances for a bet here.
The player in question is Travis Kelce. He wasn’t particularly active in the win over Los Angeles last week but the defence had them on top early on and they rode the running game but I would expect Kelce to be more involved in this one. I mentioned last week that the Redskins defence is having big trouble covering tight ends and Kelce is one of the best receiving tight ends in the game. He should clear 57.5 receiving yards here.
