2017 NFL – Week 10 Sunday Early Games Betting Preview

We have another busy Sunday in the NFL with plenty of matches taking place over the course of the two usual kick off times. We have divisional battles and conference clashes to go through and with matches beginning to run out for sides to achieve their aims this season each of these matches are beginning to take on more importance.

1pm kick offs (6pm UK time)

The oldest rivalry in football plays out its next instalment in these matches when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers. The Tennessee Titans play host to the Cincinnati Bengals while the useless Cleveland Browns head to Motor Land to take on the Detroit Lions. The Jacksonville Jaguars face the Los Angeles Chargers with Minnesota Vikings heading to the Washington Redskins.

The live match for those of us in the UK sees the Buffalo Bills taking on the New Orleans Saints with the other two matches seeing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers heading to the Indianapolis Colts.

6pm kick offs (9pm UK time)

We have three more matches in the later of the two kick off times. The Los Angeles Rams will welcome the Houston Texans to town while the San Francisco 49ers take on the New York Giants. The live match in the UK will see the Atlanta Falcons playing host to a Dallas Cowboys who will finally be without Ezekiel Elliott.

Betting

In the early matches I think the Pittsburgh Steelers are the side to be with. Indianapolis Colts have only faced three sides with winning records this season and they have been beaten in all three to scores to the tune of 46-18, 36-22 and 27-0. Clearly when they come up against the better sides Jacoby Brissett and his teammates struggle to cope. You can make a genuine case that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the best side in the AFC and they can show that here. Their offense is so powerful and their defence is strong. I expect a big Pittsburgh win here.

Moving into the later matches and I’m struggling to see where the Houston Texans gets more than 17.5pts from against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams are on a three match winning streak and haven’t conceded more than 17pts since week four. Houston Texans are going through a struggle at quarterback with Tom Savage playing up to his surname. He’s been awful and against a buzzing Rams side I don’t see the offense functioning much better here.

Finally in the live game I think there has been a bit of an overreaction to the news that Ezekiel Elliott is out for the Dallas Cowboys. Clearly that is not ideal but average running backs will find gaps with the offensive line the Cowboys have. Even allowing for Elliott’s absence we shouldn’t forget that this is an average Atlanta side this season and one not used to winning tight matches. Three of their defeats have been by six points or less and I sense they’ll lose this one too.
