There are more matches in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge on Friday with all six sides slated to be in action in the competition once again. We’ve had a number of matches hampered by the weather so far in the tournament and that is something which has affected the competition but things look clearer on Friday so hopefully that will equate into a good day of cricket.
We have a TV match which sees the Cape Cobras hosting the Highveld Lions while there is also two matches away from the cameras which will need the usual methods to keep up to date with them. We’ll begin with the TV match.

Cape Cobras vs Highveld Lions
The Cape Cobras meet the Highveld Lions for the second time this season in a match which is pretty big for the home side. I say that because they have played three matches in the tournament to date but they have not won yet and they need to get winning soon else they could get cut adrift.
The Highveld Lions have two wins from their three matches and the one they lost was against the Titans, who continue to look the standout side in this competition so we shouldn’t hold that against them. The Lions have chased two reasonable scores down in this series which is promising.
I say that because with the bowling attack that the Johannesburg based outfit have you would expect them to defend most totals so if they can continue to have the confidence and ability to chase totals down they will be tough to beat.
The Lions are the more confident side of the two and on a Paarl ground that is notoriously low scoring that winning momentum and belief will be key. The likes of Phangiso and Rabada won’t be easy to face on this track so I’m with the visitors here.
Knights vs Warriors
Two sides who are at the wrong end of the table meet in Bloemfontein when the Knights take on the Warriors for the second time in the campaign. A wonderful partnership from David Miller and his captain Theunis de Bruyn won the reverse fixture for the Knights and they will be looking to back that up.
That was as good as the season has got for the Warriors really. They were well beaten by the Titans in their next match but did get a rained off game in their latest contest. They don’t seem to have any momentum going for them which is a shame because the Knights do look a touch on the short side. I’ll leave this one alone.
Titans vs Dolphins
The Titans and the Dolphins meet for the first time in the tournament when they clash in Benoni on Friday afternoon and all eyes will be on the defending champions Titans to see if they can continue to be the winning machines they have begun the competition as.
Due to a couple of washouts the Dolphins haven’t really been able to get their campaign going as yet and they face a very tough test here. They are huge outsiders to win and I would probably agree with that but we’re not going to get a backable price on the Titans for the rest of the competition so I will leave this one alone too.
