2017 Ram Slam T20 Challenge – Wednesday 6th December Matches Betting Preview

Wednesday is set to be a huge day in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge as the four sides battling for the three semi-final spots in behind the Titans are all in action. With matches beginning to run out the two games in the tournament on Wednesday take on even greater significance which should ensure some competitive cricket.

We have a live game on Wednesday which comes from Durban and then there is the other one which is not in front of the cameras so we will need to rely on updates elsewhere for that. We’ll begin the preview with the live game.

Dolphins vs Highveld Lions

Both the Dolphins and the Highveld Lions go into their match knowing that they have to win if they are going to keep their hopes of a semi-final spot realistic. This isn’t knockout cricket just yet but it is getting to that stage.

Dolphins have had a horrible campaign with the weather killing them so far in the tournament. Because of that they have only won one match in the competition but thankfully for them the Highveld Lions are only one win better off so they can make up for their struggles with a win.

Sadly the forecast for the Durban area is once again pretty poor for game time which doesn’t bode well both for the chances of the match or our potential for betting. I wouldn’t like to be getting stuck on the wrong side of DLS or anything so I’ll sit this one out.

Knights vs Cape Cobras

Arguably the bigger match of the day given the personnel on show comes from Kimberley where the Knights take on the Cape Cobras. The winners of this match will give themselves every chance of a spot in the semi-finals where they should avoid the Titans too so there is plenty to play for.

These two sides are going in opposite directions. The Knights have lost their last two completed matches and were well behind in a rain affected match in between whereas the Cape Cobras head to Kimberley off the back of three successive wins and they may well have made that four in a row had the rain not hampered them against the Dolphins.

The Cobras look to have sorted out their form with the bat and with the options that they have with the ball I expect them to go on and win this match. You always have to fear a David Miller blitz but that aside the Cobras are much the better of these two sides and they can show that here.
