The penultimate day of World Open qualifying takes place on Tuesday when another batch of players look to seal their spot in the final stages of the event in China next month.
After the demise of Judd Trump on Monday the big names on show will be even more focused than they might have been before. Those big names include Stuart Bingham, Kyren Wilson and John Higgins.
Morning Session
Stuart Bingham is the big name appearing in the first session of the day. He plays Mei Xiwen for a spot in the main event while the other streamed match will be between Dominic Dale and Jackson Page. Elsewhere there is an all-Chinese battle between Yu Delu and Zhang Yong, a clash between Gary Wilson and Nigel Bond and a meeting of Oliver Lines and Chen Zifan.
Afternoon Session
Mark King and Jimmy White are the two men assigned with the streamed tables. They face Li Yuan and Tian Pengfei respectively and could have their work cut out given that the Chinese pair will be desperate to feature in a home event. Two more Chinese players meet elsewhere when Anda Zhang takes on Yuan Sijun while John Astley and Chris Totten have a great opportunity when they play each other. Chris Wakelin plays James Wattana in the other match.
Evening Session
Kyren Wilson takes on Thor Chuan Leong in one of the streamed matches in the final session of the day with Neil Robertson on the other one. He faces Sanderson Lam in a match he is expected to win. Tom Ford plays Boonyarit Kaettikun and Matthew Stevens meets Kurt Dunham in the other games.

Betting
There are two bets I like on this third day of qualifying for the World Open. The first comes in the morning session and sees Gary Wilson taking on Nigel Bond in a match I expect the former to win and win quite well.
Bond has lost both qualifying matches recently and has not made a 50 break in either of them and that is not a good starting point for success. Wilson has taken a while to get going this season for whatever reason but he has shown some good signs this week and I expect him to be far too strong for Bond.
The other player I expect to be too good for his opponent is Anda Zhang. He has been playing well this week even though he lost his last match. He has won six frames in his two matches and made a 50 break in each of them. That is very good scoring for this level.
Yuan Sijun finally won his first match of the season over the weekend but his opponent was much weaker than Zhang and Yuan didn’t play brilliantly well. I expect Zhang to come through with a bit to spare.
Tips
WON – Back G.Wilson (-1.5 frames) to beat N.Bond for a 4/10 stake at 1.91 with Coral
WON – Back A.Zhang (-1.5 frames) to beat Y.Sijun for a 4/10 stake at 2.05 with Coral
